I'm not a fan of PvP either but Cole will do whatever's necessary to not blow the mission and quite possibly get everyone killed. In a life or death situation where he doesn't have time to understand Diaz's motives for wanting the sword, he'll use ever trick at his disposal to get Diaz to leave peacefully. Plus talking people down is what Cole does for a living so I think it works fine here.

If this is an uncomfortable situation everyone would rather not play out via rolls, we can RP the interaction and ignore the dice. If campeador is OK with it, though, the long term repercussions of this could also be fun to RP. I'll go with whatever you all decide. I'm good either way.

I hear you there Cave, that's a good medium I can go for. Within that context whatever Campeador decides should be fine, and I think everyone here is good about not crossing the lines.

I agree with Cave. I am against leaving PC vs. PC Persuasion and Intimidation to the dice. That being said, I also agree that a die roll to represent how convincing an argument has been conveyed isn't a bad idea. In the end it's still up to all parties to act as their characters would. I trust Annex and have been enjoying the tension-filled interaction so far.

So I've been teasing this little by little, but Rodrigo has been given a side mission by Lock. I have purposely been vague about it because even though I trust everyone here to not mix up player knowledge and PC knowledge, I thought you guys might enjoy the mystery. Let me know if I judged incorrectly and you are finding Rodrigo's dodginess frustrating.

My playstyle is that there is a reason for everything a character does, or there ought to be. So long as the DM is aware of it, I as a player don't need to be in the loop and I will trust that choices are being made for the benefit of the game.

Actually You do have a map of the underground, minus this secret sanctum Mulrick is referring to!I'm actually on vacation right now (until the 25th), which has made some of my posting a bit wonky but overall I still find time to engage. If you want Mulrick to kinda "draw" on the map that might take a bit of time as I don't have a ton of access to my laptop.

There you go! Anything Mulrick can add might be helpful. I say "might" because really, just how intelligent is a goblin's intel?

As a small heads up I was gonna update tonight but my family got together and we watched 1/3 of Endgame instead so I will do it tomorrow!

I will be on a family trip from 6 Oct through 11 Oct, and will have limited access. I should be able to check in at least once a day when back at the hotel, but my participation will be otherwise diminished.

What do you think, my friends? What should we do? Stay on mission? Or side quest?
