Rodrigo is hot-headed but he is not stupid. I want to make sure I understand the situation: "Boss" is alone in this room? Any other perceived threats? Who besides the injured hobgoblin and Rodrigo have entered through the trapdoor so far?

Yeah it looks to be just Boss. There is a camera but it appears to be fixed on the orb.

Looking over the posts it looks like only Jericho has come up so far.

Party fought some draconians, fled through the door to the north as they witness some goons fighting two other draconians (Total of three), the room seems to be some kinda prison/holding area. A few of the party have gone up a ladder leading to a nice looking room containing a shiny sphere protected behind glass and Jakor, who is currently under the Suggestion spell (for now). The party is in the midst of trying to get him to cooperate with...something.

The remaining members who have yet to reveal themselves are still downstairs, there is a pounding on the metal door from which they entered and muffled screaming, also Flitter is really psyching themselves up. To check the door would require accounting for the camera which covers the entrance partly, but it's not too difficult to get around.

This isn't any sort of criticism. Just an observation. Hadn't seen this side of him before. I thought he was all ambition.

You weren't the only one who thought about that line. It does give me a great idea for a near-future encounter.

Yes, Rodrigo is on the edge of the dark side. He tries to be an honorable man but he harbors such bloodthirsty thoughts.

the scene i'm seeing is we went into the room and locked it from the draconians. The ladder leads up to a "control" room of sorts where the "star" is.

We bring wounded gangster up into the control room where the "boss/supervisor" guys is. Supervisor guy see flitter goes nuts and detains him.

Supervisor guy is gonna go down and take care of the draconians?

Does that seem right?

That is the gist of it. I definitely understand the confusion. There are factors meticulously at play here, such as: Jakor isn't looking too good, DM didn't think the plan through, suggestion spell side effects, etc.
