02 Hunting Gobbos!

Khurza surveys the land, looking for obvious signs of goblin.

Pomin jumps down from a tree and points out what he's found from scouting. They've a ways to go with either choice he explains and he mentions there's likely patrols if they're organized. Thoughts of keeping on guard and trying to stay downwind come to mind.

Pomin muddles over the map tapping places as his head wags from side to side in thought. "I think I got it."

Not quite as stealthy, Khurza keeps a fair distance from Pomin, wanting the element of surprise while simultaneously not leaving him alone.

Pomin and Khurza - You make your way towards the closest camp fire you are careful to try and use the terrain to mask your approach as much as possible. Unfortunately this doesn't seem to have been as successful as you'd hoped as when you get within a few hundred yards of the camp fire Nya cries out from the rear of the as an arrow clips the side of her head and she falls to her knees, a group of goblins whoop and cry as they close in with you all.

Abadai and Aya - You have been travelling near Lake Kurnan for the last couple of days. Rumors of trouble and bandit attacks in this area have thus far proved to be just that, rumors but you still have kept a wary eye out as you made your camp for the evening. You were just getting settled down when the still evening air is broken as in the near distance you hear goblinoid shouts and cries.....

"I tell you friend Aya. We have seen more trees and water in the last week that we have been traveling than I have seen in most of my life. That’s what happens when you live by a desert. I..." Abadai’s voice trailed off as he looked up and around, hearing the cries of the goblins. He rose to his feet, one hand clutching the staff he always carried.

"Did you hear that? Those do not sound like the cries of friendly creatures..." He looked around, the metallic end of the staff following his gaze. "There!"

"Ambush!" Khurza's cry rings out through the forest.

Pomin curses drawing back his bow and looking at the targets looking to make it painful holding out on releasing as he takes extra time to aim. "Marking the left..." he explains before holding his breath and releasing his shot.

Pomin swears mentally preparing to get beatup again...

The group of goblins that Pomin shot at yelps in surprise before starting to shoot back at the Gnome, an arrow embeding itself deep in his side. The second group whoop and holler as they rush Khurza, rusty blades flashing in and out punching holes through the Orcs guard.

Abadai frowned as he saw the goblins unleash their arrows at the gnome and their effectiveness. "That was a mistake..." He extended his staff toward the group and let words of magic flow.

"Ne calorem et posuerat auersa a carne tua ossa pelle!"*

As he finished his incantation, the air distorted from the heat rushing toward the goblin archer.
