OOC:
@Knighthawke you'll get a boost die since you're the next PC.
Jan 7, 2019 3:17 pm
OOC:
Thanks! I forgot about that...

2 advantage only hmmm.. can I give a boost to next PC and a Setback to the goblins?
Jan 7, 2019 3:55 pm
OOC:
You have enough for either but not both, you'd need 3 to give one to the next PC (cost one) and give one setback (cost two)

OOC:
Thanks. I don’t have my reference in front of me and didn’t recall if it was 1 and 1 or not... i’ll give two boosts if can to the next PC then.

I do apologize, I’m still getting used to this fantastic system. :)

Yeah I'm fine with that.

Aya and Khurza to go
Jan 8, 2019 4:56 pm
"Numbers will not save you!" Khurza shouts angrily as she gets to work hacking up some fresh goblin, trying to shrug off her own wounds with adrenaline.
OOC:
My shield gives me defensive & deflection 1, although it was basically an ambush.

Using battle rage to add +2 damage.

10 damage total, I will keep the boost die train rolling and give Aya one with my advantage.

OOC:
I amended the last post accordingly, they did one less damage (6 rather than 7). You don’t have anything noted in Khurza’s defence boxes on your character sheet which is why I missed it. If it’s an item or effect that would typically be present for your character can you make sure it’s noted there as that’s what I check when I’m working out the ‘bad guys’ dice pools.
Khurza’s axe swings out, seeing that her axe is coming right for them one of the goblins grabs a companion and uses it as a shield but her axe still carries enough momentum to cut a nasty gash accross the creatures belly. Crying in pain it drops the two halves of its ‘shield’ before snarling at the orc.
OOC:
Aya is up then it’s any PC to take the first slot of the following round.
Jan 10, 2019 1:59 pm
Realizing that something was amiss, Aya follows closely on Abadai's heels.

She mumbles words of power under her breath and a wave of magic flows out of her towards Abadai and those fighting the goblins.
OOC:
Sorry for being late to the party. It took me longer than I thought to catch up.

Anyway, casting the Augment spell while engaged with Abadai. That costs 2 strain.

Spending 2 advantage to give Abadai a boost, 1 advantage to add a boost to the next PC to go. And, if there's anything to notice, I'll "Notice a single important point in the ongoing conflict".

EDIT: Since I forgot my boost and got an additional advantage, I'd like to combine that with my "notice an important detail" advantage to give Pomin a boost instead. Is that cool, GM?

OOC:
I think you have a boost die (light blue die) as well to add you your roll from Knighthawke
Jan 11, 2019 9:16 am
Aya reaches out and magic flows towards Abadai. Some of the gobbos catch sight of this and seem to be momentarily distracted.

Don't sweat the delay, has been a bit slow all round really :)

So as a base effect of the Spell Abadai will add an Ability (Green) dice to their next check and you have 4 Advantage to spend. You could give a boost die to 2 specific PC's (2 Advantage Each) but that would use all of your Advantages. Based on what you've previously said it would be an Ability and a Boost die to Abadai and just a Boost die to Pomin, you happy with that?

OOC:
Yeah, boost to Pomin (in addition to the ability die) and one to the next PC to go. That's 3 adv. If there's anything important to notice, I'll spend my last advantage on that. Otherwise I'll just leave it be.

OOC:
Excelent, right then new round is up:

I'm assuming Abadai and Aya moved up to short range from Pomin and Khurza on their turn.

Gobbo group 1 (4 gobbos left) - Engaged with Khurza, Short Range to Pomin, Medium range to Abadai and Aya
Gobbo Group 2 (5 gobbos left) - Short Range to Pomin and Khurza, Medium range to Abadai and Aya

Hope the above is clear to where everyone is positioned at the moment

Initiative order

First PC slot up for grabs
Jan 11, 2019 4:39 pm
Abadai stepped forward and raised his staff in the direction of the group of goblins who were yet unengaged. "nihilo fulminis tempestates excitant deserto"
OOC:
*the desert storms call forth lightning from nothing

If I’m right, I’ve got my specific green ability dice plus the boost from the slot, correct? Instead of the Sirocco with Fire, it will be lightning.
Attack + Lightning + Range = Hard (PPP) but Staff automatically allows + Range, so drops it to (PP) I forgot that autofire would increase the difficulty, so adding that extra die.

That makes it 1 success, 3 advantage which can activate Autofire 1 time to hit two of the goblins for 7 damage each and I’ll use the other advantage to pass a boost along to next PC from the goblins being a bit startled from the lightning.

Rolls

Lightning storm attack against group 2

3 Success, 4 Advantage, 1 Failure, 1 Threat

Total: 2 Success, 3 Advantage

Autofire

1 Failure

Total: 1 Failure

Pomin - as you are staring, trying to draw a bead on one of the gobbos that shot you are momentarily blinded as two bolts of lightning stab down from the sky at the group. As your vision clears you can see one of them dead on the floor and another appears to be barely hanging on.

Pomin and Khurza - over the din of the fight with the gobbos you are both now aware of the two figures who have crested a ridge nearby. From the lightning and fire flashing out at the gobbos you are pretty sure that at least one of them is lending you some magical assistance.
Jan 12, 2019 9:51 am
The remaining goblin archers turn their attention to what seems to be the most dangerous threat and begin sending arrows in Abadai's direction. The other group keep trying to press the attack against Khurza. As their attacks seem to be having some effect the goblins cheering and crying gets more excited and energetic
OOC:
7 damage to Khurza - passing a boost onto the next NPC slot with the Advantage
7 damage to Abadai

"It seems they aim to best us, when even the elements are on our side! Let us show them the error in their ways!" Khurza shouts to Pomin, a mix of wrath and glee in her voice. The blood from her cuts is but a setback, picking a target she cleaves a goblins head clean off, and shoves another to the ground.
OOC:
12 Damage

I'll use the 2 advantage to add blue die to the next to PC's, in hopes the group attacking Aya/Aba dies faster.

OOC:
I'm looking at everyone's characters (except Abadai, since that sheet isn't public) and I just want to make sure we're all tracking strain/wounds the same way.

Pomin has taken 6 wounds and Khurza has only taken 4 wounds, right? Aya is going to heal whomever is most wounded and I want to make sure I heal the right one!
Jan 14, 2019 2:34 pm
As the head of the first goblin hist the ground Khurza feels an unusual bit of resistance on her axe as she swings it behind her. Another goblin with an upraised blade stares dumbly down at where Khurza's axe is embedded in it's chest. With a twist of her wrist its corpse slumps to the ground. The other goblin that she knocked to the floor shakily gets to its feet and the two remaining creatures share an extremely worried glance

OOC:
I'll leave the players to answer that one but out of the two I would assume Pomin is more injured overall as they're quite a bit squishier and have taken a crit
Jan 14, 2019 3:12 pm
Pomin cracks an eye open after the beating and notices the situation, "Never too proud to ask for help..." he mutters watching Khurza smack goblins around like small birds with her weapon. He opts to take a pot shot at the other group since the archers are paying attention to people more threatening then him.

Time to share my pain...
OOC:
Taking two maneuvers to aim plus going to attempt Painful Blow... Yes I'd like behind Khurza if I could and say they were picking on me since I was short... Pomin has no shame. Also I count up damage it accrues I've taken 6 with a threshold of 8 if that makes sense.
OOC:
9 damage to them, using the adv to regain strain, triumph will upgrade the next PCs skill dice by one.
