Felicia's eyes clarify as she looks around the room at her compatriots. Come Xestras, you performed admirably. she says, holding out her arm. The bat shimmers back into existence on her hand and climbs up to nuzzle her shoulder.

Yillia will watch them as they leave and ensure they don't change their minds. She fires some warning shots at the feet of a duo who look like they're slowing down.

"Keep Moving! Get out of here"

Wait! We need one or two of them to get some answers here. Sorgrimm attempts to direct the others to parley with at least one of the reavers.

You do have the one hogtied that you have only partially questioned.

OOC:
True but I figured more than one would give us a better chance to find the answers we are looking for.
As his allies deal with the remaining aggressors, Sorgrimm turns to his prisoner.

"Now I need you to be cooperative. Tell me about the delegation that recently came through."

The reaver confirms that the delegation from Mirabar passed through here, crossing the river, but did not linger.

Hmmm, Sorgrimm tries to read the prisoner to see if he seems truthful

The reaver seems truthful.

Thats unfortunate. I was really hoping to find out more. Once things settle down, Sorgrimm will be looking to release the prisoner.

"If they’re not here, then maybe we should move along? We don’t want to lose their trail."
Mar 9, 2019 8:44 am
"Yes, perhaps we will gain some ground on them and pick up some fresher tracks"

GM Prompt: Sensing that his life may be at risk, the reaver spills more secrets:

- The Mirabar delegation traveled overland from Westbridge to Beliard, crossing the Stone Bridge. From Beliard it headed south into the Sumber Hills, bound for Summit Hall. Earth cultists attacked the group a few miles
from Summit Hall. The cultists took prisoners back to the Sacred Stone Monastery, paying water cultists for the use of their riverboats to cross the Dessarin River, which is how the delegation’s valuables end up in Red Larch (you had found some trade bars in that pit under Red Larch).
- This also reveals that the pirates holding Riverguard Keep are actually cultists to Elemental Water, and an important acolyte is on the boat moored at the water. (Recall: When the Reavers were intimidated by Felicia, most fled to the boat.)
Mar 9, 2019 12:38 pm
I knew something was going wrong at that monastery. Felicia whispers to herself. What is the acolyte's name on the boat? she says to the reaver, letting a touch of sweetness into her voice, though her eyes continue to burn brightly with the promise of more nasty magic.
Mar 9, 2019 1:21 pm
The boat is called the Rivermaid and the captain is Shoalar Quanderil, a water genasi Shoalar is a high-ranking Crushing Wave cultist, and he is well informed about events in the towns throughout the area.
Mar 9, 2019 2:42 pm
"With any luck, some of those captured might still be alive. They'd be a great help at getting closer to the core group"

Yillia looks back to those who fled to the boat, particularly at any ropes or secures to the river, mast raising and other such activity. She wants to ascertain whether they're trying to cast off immediately

Yillia sees that there seems to be an argument gong on on the deck between the guards and someone else.
Mar 10, 2019 2:07 am
"Lets press the fight shall we?" Sorgrimm waits for his allies and as soon as they are ready will board the boat with them to get to the bottom of the situation.
Mar 11, 2019 1:32 pm
I can send Xestras so we can listen in on their arguments, if that would make things easier to plan. Felicia offers, smiling as she gestures at the bat preening on her shoulder.
Mar 14, 2019 12:55 am
Xestras flies out and returns quickly. The reavers are attempting to convince the cultist to either sail away or mount a counter offence. They're disorganized and demoralized, but they seem to be working toward a united goal.
Mar 14, 2019 1:32 am
Sorgrimm begins heading towards the water. "Worst case...we sink the boat. Best case...no one else loses their lives."
