Silver.hawk says:
Araaz looks around to see if there are any more threats in the area, before joining Berci and the genasi. He will roll insight on the genasi. He keeps the other party in his vision so they can’t sneak up on him or Berci.
OOC:
Berci didn’t approach he’s pretty much staying where the battle was. Listening in for something important, but for the most part waiting his turn to ask questions. P.S. I like our dynamic.
Apr 23, 2019 12:26 pm
Yillia lowers her bow, satisfied that the genasi isn't planning anything shady and walks over.
"We know a delegation from Mirabar passed through here, we just want to save them, nothing more. Can you guide us to the Earth acolytes that your men helped?"
Apr 24, 2019 1:04 am
The genasi grits his teeth, but sees he has little recourse. "Ahh, you must be the adventurers everyone is talking about. Yes, the Mirabari. They passed through here. Prisoners. On the way to the Sacred Stone Monastery. If you promise to allow me my freedom, my possessions, and my life and help me with that chain, I'll even sail you there."
Apr 26, 2019 2:35 am
You'll sail us there and forget you ever saw us, yes? Felicia says, picking up one of the reaver's weapons to toy with it for a moment before letting it clatter back to the ground as Xestras flies about, landing on her shoulder.
Apr 26, 2019 2:51 am
"But of course. There is nothing for me here, no favor to curry. Besides, I'd be happy to see you do as much havoc there as you've done here."
Apr 26, 2019 2:54 am
This isn't havoc, son of water. This is just a minor taste of the powers that be. Felicia says with a dark grin. You there, new friends. We go to address the Mirabari prisoner situation at the temple. Will you join us? she quirks an eyebrow at the newcomers.
Apr 26, 2019 5:41 am
"We’ll do right by them. Come, we’re capable of so much if we just work together as we have!" Xella rallies the group.
Apr 26, 2019 6:23 am
Yillia smiles, a relatively rare sight.
"Welcome aboard"
Apr 26, 2019 7:31 am
Glancing over to Berci with a nod of his head, he turns to the the other party and says, "It would seem that my friend’s goal aligns with yours somewhat. As long as he is fine with it I’d be glad to join you. My name is Araaz Syl’a Varran. A pleasure to meet you."He gives a short bow while keeping his eyes on the others.

Glancing around again, he asks the others, "Should we do something about the fallen here?" gesturing towards the dead reavers. "Bury, or burn the bodies or something? If they were men of the sea perhaps burial there would suffice?"
OOC:
For some reason I was under the impression that we were by the sea, not a river... thus my suggestion for burial at sea. I didn’t realize I was wrong until I went back to the when the party first came to the keep and read the description again. Oops!

OOC:
It would be remiss of me to not point out that this place has been emptied of occupants, but not looted. Did you want to take the time to quickly go through the fallen and the buildings?
Apr 26, 2019 1:02 pm
OOC:
That is a good point.
I think we can do you slightly better than retaining possessions, son of water. Permit us about thirty minutes to recover any valuables which have been left, and I am sure some of that wealth will find its way into your hands. she turns to look at the others, There is wealth to be had, for whatever purpose it takes. The moments we take to collect it will be well worth it, and allowing our new friend here a measure of the treasure highlights our appreciation for his assistance in our endeavors.
Apr 26, 2019 1:23 pm
Berci also smiles, Such comradeship I will give it its fair chance. It has been a while. Araaz has helped. Maybe others will too. I do not know of the Mirabari you’ll tell us more on the voyage and I will come to learn of you the cult-breakers and tell you what I seek help with. But right now I agree with my companion Araaz. The common prayer and a drop in the water. he turns to pick up a body and bring it to the boat. I am Berci. Come on lend a hand. They will even pay us he says as he loots the body.
OOC:
i might add some more flavor here I’m just at work wanted to get something in

Yillia looks to Araaz. "If you wish, I can help dispose of the dead, though the local wildlife may flourish from this bounty. We are all returned to nature in the end anyway".
Apr 26, 2019 4:37 pm
Araaz will begin respectfully searching the bodies, quietly speaking a quick prayer to their spirits, "May you reflect on your past, your decisions and actions, and forge a better life in the next." and assisting with their disposal. (If no one else does, Araaz will also make a quick search of the buildings)

Loot and Exploration Summary

Bodies on the beach
The six bodies each have sharktoothed longsword, and giant crab shell shields.

The Great Hall
You find 5 human servants in the kitchen area: Anya, Berd, and Nayreen, Lathna and Oric are captives and forced to household chairs. They tell you they just want to go home, but don't dare try to escape because Grimjaw had the last two so tired flogged to death.

The kitchens are well stocked. Sacks, casks, and barrels are piled along the southern wall, and cheeses and smoked fish hang from the ceiling. The sacks contain flour, the dozen casks hold ale (worth 10 gp per cask), and the barrels hold salted meat.

The servants know if something further. That there is a secret door in the greathall that leads to an underground stream. Where the stream leads to, they don't know, but sometimes Crushing Wave cultists emerge from there having not being seen going down first. It doesn't lead to the river, they're certain of that.

In Grimjaw's chambers, you find Grimjaw’s loot consists of 600 sp, 450 ep, and a pouch containing fifteen blue azurites (worth 10 gp each).

The Armory
The room contains twenty spears, ten shortswords, five
scimitars, five light crossbows, four hundred crossbow
bolts, two hundred arrows, fifteen suits of leather armor,
and eight shields shaped like horseshoe crab shells.

Other places
The fleeing reavers must have taken their personal valuables, and those of the fallen. You find little else of interest. Other than the controls for the chain that blocks the keelboat in.
Apr 27, 2019 4:20 pm
Araaz collects all the loot from Grimjaw and a light crossbow and 30 bolts from the armory. He will tell the others what he picked up from Grimjaw and let them know about the contents of the armory, as well as the prisoners in the great hall and the secret door they mentioned. He will lower the chain blocking the boat when it seems like people are ready to move.

Berci takes a shield and straps it to his back. Berci sees the new crossbow Araaz holds and nods in approval, he grabs his own and 30 bolts. Berci asks the servants, May we take a barrel of meat and a cask of ale for our journey? (if yes he carries it to the boat) Berci finds the information about the door curious, but if the new companions do not investigate he does not either. he takes a small share of the ep from Araaz (a portion equal to his contribution 1/8th if he killed 1 of the 8 reavers. He turns to the water Genasi with a question loud enough for others to hear What is you name? Son of water? Is that a title or a bane? And where do you hail from?
OOC:
Did Sorgrimm die? Or just meta vanish?

Yillia takes an inordinate amount of time picking out particular arrows for her quiver. She individually assesses the sharpness, flex, straightness...
She takes 1/6th of the coin and three azurite.

Her eyebrow raises at the information about a door, but she awaits the others to finish dividing before mentioning it

He may not run if we go down quickly to investigate. He has seen how far my arrows can travel and knows we are not to be trifled with
