Chapter 3 - The Missing Delegation

"The attack started when i through a stone in the water. They were just there looking at us. We, I mean I thought they were zombies. Didn't fell right just leaving a potential hazard for someone who came along unsuspecting and get jumped.

I didn't expect them to move so fast, they were just floating there...

Well we want to search quick before the others come back?"

The ghouls are naked and have no gear or possessions. You don't really learn anything about them other than the obvious, that they were once human or maybe elf, and we're raised from the dead.

Araaz stands back up after making a quick examination of the ghoul and says to the others, "It was seem that they don’t have anything on them. They died at some point and were turned into these ghouls. I know not why they were in the water. Perhaps as guards or they were simply dropped in the water and forgotten." he looks down the tunnel towards where the ghouls fled and says, "We should decide wether we are going to pursue the ones that fled or retreat while we still can."

I would love to say pursue but a few of us are barely standing as it is. So a strategic retreat is probably in order.", Sassy says trying hide her frustration about how things went down.

Yillia shrugs. "Seems there was nothing down here but trouble. I'd also appreciate some time to patch my own wounds up.". On balance, Yillia's hatred of these beasts was outweighed by her distaste at having to encounter them again

You have some time, probably eight rounds or so before the turned ghouls turn back. Then another minute or less until they get back here, should they choose to do so. But not lots of time.

Do you stay here?

Araaz tells the others, "I’m fine with leaving. I don’t think there is anything down here worth checking right now, not until the other ghouls are dealt with and a further investigation can be made." he then heads towards the stairs and back out of the secret passage.

Yillia follows promptly after Araaz, happy to be away from those creatures, and for some time to heal

Felicia holds her side and follows the others back out of the secret passage, Xestras perched on her shoulder.

Sassy sheaths her rapier and follows looking back just in case they are being followed.

Returning to the surface, you can find the water genasi making ready to sail, under the watch of Berci.

As they head back to the dock, Araaz says to Sassy, "We have only just met each other before we met you. We seem to have goals that coincide with each other, thus we decided to travel together. I myself am on a journey to experience more of the world. The others have their own goals."

Okay, Xella, Felicia, Yillia, and Sorgrimm (if he returns) all advance to level 4. (I had Araaz and Sassy start at level 4 since the rest of you were so close to leveling.)

Tomorrow I'll close this thread and start the Chapter 4.
