OOC:
Hey folks, quick update: currently, Xelia and Prince are squeezing Eins the goblin for info, and have learned about a quartet of goblin's who have been enslaved by Grum'shar the half-orc mage and raised to guard this place (you have seen 3 of the 4 goblin's - where is the fourth?). What else would you like to ask him or convince him to do? And what are you going to do with him after?

Alastriona and Butler are poking up the north hall down the stairs and scoping out a sleeping quarters of sorts around the bend. Currently holding position.

Going back to the central hub, there are also some other locations to investigate. There are 2 arrow slits in the hub. You've found Eins in the Northwest one, but there is also a slit in the southeast side of the hub (barely shows on the map, sorry). In addition, to the south of the hub you made out a side tunnel veering off of the main sewer.

Prince notices Vatra's eyes on his rear. He arches his back to emphasize his rear even more, and throws the genasi a wink.
Mar 21, 2019 7:00 pm
Alastriona squares her shoulders and stalks down the corridor for what looks like a sleeping area.

Noticing the wink, Vatra sniffs our the flame and awkwardly looks around pretending he didn’t see anything.

Alastriona trudges down the tunnel into the sleeping chamber, which she discovers has two more beds (both empty) and a closed iron-banded door in the east wall. Unfortunately, her clinking chainmail rouses the two sleeping goblins, who bolt upright in their beds. The group talking with Eins hears a faint, surprised yelp echoing from down the hall.
OOC:
There are two zones at the start of this combat:

Zone 1 includes Q2a and Q3 and includes Prince, Stitches, Vatra, Xelia and Eins (who is not yet hostile)
Zone 2 includes Q4 and connecting hallway and includes Alastriona, Butler, and the two goblins Drei and Vier (currently hostile).

If you want to move between zones, it will take 2 move actions (or a move and a dash). You can only attack and be attacked by creatures in your zone.

Initiative Order:
1. Alastriona, Prince, Stitches, Vatra, Xelia
2. Eins (not yet hostile), and Vier and Drei (hostile)
3. Butler

Rolls

Initiative (A, B, P, S, V, X) - (1d20-1, 1d20+3, 1d20+3, 1d20+3, 1d20+1, 1d20+1)

1d20-1 : (14) - 1 = 13

1d20+3 : (1) + 3 = 4

1d20+3 : (12) + 3 = 15

1d20+3 : (13) + 3 = 16

1d20+1 : (14) + 1 = 15

1d20+1 : (17) + 1 = 18

Mar 22, 2019 5:54 pm
Hearing the yelp, Prince clears his throat and looks at Xelia meaningfully.
Mar 22, 2019 5:59 pm
Seeing that neither of the goblins resemble Floon, the aasimar strides forward. Though unarmed, the goblins' hostility is evident, so Alastriona draws her falx and levels the blade out for Vier's throat. Her eyes silently portray her intentions should the two resist surrender.

The goblins fully understand Alastriona's universal message of the blade to the throat. Realizing that she's not dead, Vier can't raise her hands fast enough, and it doesn't take Drei long to follow suit. These two are clearly proficient in surrendering.

In the tense silence, you can hear voices coming from the door.

Other than the goblins, there are four straw mattresses shrouded in stained blankets.

OOC:
You collected 2 more goblins! Combat over for now! Alastriona / CancerMan earns INSPIRATION for their quick thinking and great roleplaying of unique character quirks.

Alastriona keeps her sword in position and sidles around the goblins to be nearer to the door. Sparing only the briefest of glances at her prisoners, she jerks a thumb to the western passageway then holds a finger to her lips, indicating that the duo should take a walk towards Butler and the others, and do so quietly.

"Come with us, little one. Let’s see what our friends are up to. If no harm comes to us, then none will come to you."

Hearing the yelp, Vatra raises one hand to his his temple and points another in the direction he knows Butler traveled and sends a message,

Are you ok? You can reply to this message.

Xelia herds Eins along the corridor while Drei and Vier hop to their feet and scamper to Butler. Soon Butler is surrounded by the three unarmed goblins, who start to whisper incessantly to each other in their native tongue.
Mar 23, 2019 6:04 pm
Left alone, Alastriona presses her ear to the door to try and catch what the voices beyond are saying.

Rolls

Perception - (1d20+2)

Alastriona hears the following conversation between what sounds like two males in common:

Voice 1: "You imbecile! Baracading the door won't make a difference. You must plug the gap at the bottom of the door. Use some blankets or something!"

Voice 2: "No! It is strong! First, block the door!

The first voice has a lyrical quality to it, the second has a thick undercommon accent.
OOC:
No roll was required this time :)
Mar 23, 2019 8:02 pm
Alastriona pulls away. She walks back to the passageway, and looks at Butler and his newfound companions. Seemingly ignoring the goblins, she jerks her head towards the door while staring at Butler, then walks back to the unseen voices.
Mar 24, 2019 11:05 am
Butler jerks in surprise at the voice in his head before sending a response "We’re fine here, got a couple more friends and I think Alastriona has found some more further on"
Mar 26, 2019 4:25 am
Herself assuming that backup is coming, Alastriona tries the door to see if it is unlocked. Should the handle turn, she tries to open the door and look inside.

Stitches skirts around the chattering goblins, takes up position in the south west corner of the sleeping quarters (q4), and knocks an arrow

Alastriona finds the door unlocked and swings it open.
OOC:
CancerMan, go ahead and roll another stealth check. If anyone wants to reposition themselves or do anything else with the goblins before we move forward with the scene, feel free to set that up. I won't post until tomorrow night, and then we will see what's behind the door.

OOC:
Well Butler would follow up with Alastriona but he wouldn't want to leave the two gobbos unattended....are we safe to assume they can be secured and move on from them? Butler would tie them up or something if no ones free to watch them
