Stitches points to the footprints in the corner of the room and shouts in Xelia's voice, "What a terrible, frightful looking creature!"

Then he turns to face Krentz. "Ya pig!" he spits, in the ganger's own voice, as a familiar silver dagger flicks down the hallway.

OOC:

Whether the dagger hits or misses, Stitches takes cover behind the bunks, assuming he can get there without provoking.

The silver dagger misses Krentz by a fair margin and clatters off the wall. It skids down the hallway towards Grum'shar, the Mind Flayer, and its pet. Stitches finds some cover behind a bunk.

OOC:

Since Stitches pointed out Zemk's location, you can attack him with your rapier, although it will be at disadvantage. You can also target him with spells that don't require you to see the target. Unfortunately vicious mockery requires sight. You can see Krentz just fine, however.

He realizes his entire life path has been flawed and dies of a broken heart.

Zemk suddenly appears behind Prince, his warpick mid-swing. He clips his afro (3 damage) and screams at Prince.

"UGLY? YOU WALK IN HERE WITH YOUR PISS-STAINED CLUMP OF PUBIC HAIR OF A WIG AND YOU CALL ME UGLY?

Prince is taken completely by surprise! Luckily he is able to keep his baleful spell on Zemk.

Grum'shar lifts his foot off of the strawberry blonde man he has pinned on the floor. Blood gushes from his wound as he pulls Butler's crossbow bolt and snaps it in two. He turns to the mind flayer, his voice overdoing the overlord confidence vibe.

"Nihiloor! Watch as I destroy these univited guests as easily as the rothé swats the blackfly! Mwahaha!"

Grum'shar strides down the hall, preparing a spell as he walks. As Krentz falls, he lets a jet of fire explode from his fingertips.

OOC:

Alastriona and Butler, make a DC 12 dexterity saving throw. Take 12 fire damage on a failed save, or 6 on a successful one.

Nihiloor gently places its pet on the stone floor. It draws a spherical bauble from its robes and places it in a recess in the stone wall, which then begins to swirl and radiate.

The creature that resembles a brain with legs charges forward into the hallway.

Butler rolls back away from the flames, keeping moving to put as much space between him and the 'brain' as possible whilst catching his breath and sending another bolt at Grum'shar.

The bolt is going square between Grum'shar's eyes, but at the last second he raises a magical barrier and stops the bolt. He checks over his shoulder to make sure Nihiloor saw.

"Right? You'll have to do better than that to kill the mighty Grum'shar! Wait, Nihiloor, where are you going? This is nothing, just a minor inconvenience! Stay and watch the triumph of Grum'shar!"

Alastriona shoves Krentz's lifeless body against the wall to clear the space and stalks towards the mind flayer with intent. Focused as she is on the tentacled creature, she is caught flat-footed when the flames explode around her.

The smoke and fire clear, and Alastriona's eyes are revealed upon Grum'shar with murderous intent. She charges, anger smoldering her clothes and trailing the embers from the tips of her hair, unleashing her fury upon the half-orc that stands between her and her prey.

Alastriona's falx cleaves through Grum'shar's glowing shield, sending shards of it into the ether, vanishing before they even hit the walls. The Falx continues right through the creature's skull, sweeping clean through and out. Grum'shar stumbles back for a moment, babbling frantically.

"I still got this! I still got this! Nihiloor, witness my ... my ..."

A red blood drop trickles down his face, and the Falx wound grows into an angry red line. After a moment, he separates into two halves, still trying to mouth the word triumph. In his absence, Alastriona now sees the intellect devourer advancing down the hall.

OOC:

The Intellect Devourer and Zemk are both within range for anyone to attack, and Zemk is no longer invisible. Ranged attacks and ranged spells for anyone who wants to attack the Nihiloor the Mind Flayer, as the Intellect Devourer is blocking the hall.

A man matching Floon's description is between the Intellect Devourer and the Mind Flayer.

Vatra and Xelia are up!

Stitches pops up behind the bunk with his bow in hand and looses an arrow at Zemk while the duergar is focused on Prince, then ducks back down into cover.
