Character Generation

Character generation talk goes here, have your character sheet properly filled with all talents/spells/weapons/etc. So everything can be accounted for. Let me know any and all major decisions you will be making.

Stats: 4d6 drop lowest, standard array or point buy is allowed. Note that I won’t do take backs with 4d6 unless you get staggeringly poor rolls, choose wisely.

Classes/Race: Please state what class and race you are thinking of playing in your first post. All classes/races plus WoTC UA are permitted. Starting level is 3. I ask that everyone add their sheet to the character library so that we are all on the same page regarding character expectations.

Nort’s Martial Maneuvers: Here's those maneuvers I was talking about. Note that while everyone gets access to them, there are prerequisites, and most fighter subtypes will get the majority of these goodies. Of course if no one is keen on using it we can just discard it entirely too, no sweat.

Backgrounds: If certain background skills or features don’t quite fit your character we can discuss switching them around or compromising to something better suited.

Starting items: Standard starting gear or roll for gold, plus an additional 100 GP. You can spend it on standard adventuring gear, weapons & armor, silvering weapons, and potions up to uncommon rarity. Because we are in Eberron and magic is more common I’m also permitting everyone to have one uncommon magic item (Probably gonna regret that later. Also since magic items are common there are price guidelines for buying them in Eberron). It can be flavored however you like as long as mechanically it functions normally. Flavor also extends to any normal gear.

Deadline: I'm giving everybody one week to complete their character mechanically, if there are any problems or extensions required that can be discussed.

Well, that's an odd mix for sure. Maybe use racial bonuses to shore up some of the low numbers? Or the low Int/Wis/Cha fighter with 20 in it's power stat? Barbarian? 7 Cha Warforged. Boxer with one too many shots to the head?
Also, I realized I'm missing a stat... time to roll

The roller in GP hates me. I tend to use Point buy here (rolling real dice at a table is fine)
I am interested in playing an old warforged. Someone forged early enough that there had been none of the emotional training that was found to be needed and added later in the process. Class is completely up in the air, I am willing to fill any gap in the party.

Posted in the other thread I’m interested in changeling as I rolled one up in another game that fell apart. Beyond that I’m open as far as class goes. Haven’t played a barbarian or Druid as of yet but am completely open minded on what to play.

That sounds interesting. Kinda sickly, not the sharpest, but super aware of their surroundings (can't hurt me if I spot you first), and the force of personality to get a solid deal from their pact. I like it

Considering a Shifter, probably Swiftstride.
Was thinking Wizard, but perhaps Sorcerer would work better.

I would like to use the Criminal Spy background but I was wondering if I could trade deception out for investigation and the tool kit since I get thieves tools for being a rogue...maybe disguise kit? Though that seems redundant but whatever.

Yes you can trade them. A few things: You didn't mark your HP/AC/Initiative/Speed, and you get one martial maneuver if that is of interest to you. Other then that everything looks good.

Fixing that stuff now. Didn’t realize those maneuvers applied to everyone.

Question. We get 100gp extra and an uncommon magic item. Is the magic item a free item or does that come out of our starting gold?

Also are we rolling hit points or taking average?
