As Kama rushes into the room, Stormsong performs his bit of magic and commands the ghouls to stop. They falter for a moment, their little bit of intelligence at war with the lack of magic in the command. They recover quickly, but not before the group is able to set up the battlefield.

Stormsong's magic washes over the group, bathing four of the seven in harmless faerie fire.
OOC:
I'm going to give you guys the first shot here since Stormsong was able to hinder them for a moment there. Once your surprise is over, we'll go into regular initiative. They are currently 30 feet away

Stormsong will inspire Xora with a song of her people that he heard once (bonus), and will hold his action until the others have made their ranged attacks -- then he'll clap his hands together and bring the force of the storms down upon the ghouls!

Round One: Players
Kama's swing with Talon easily destroys the prop that Stormsong set up, breaking the skull into tiny little pieces.

Xora strikes two different ghouls with her arrows, but they continue charging up the hall toward you.

Stormsong and Gimblyn smile and release their spells at the same time. The sound of the spells going off echoes through the whole place, nearly deafening those in close proximity. The force of the blast sends the wave of ghouls flying backward

Round One: Ghouls
The undead horde continues moving toward you, but they are all too far to reach you before you can send of another wave of attacks.

Kama understands the value of a defensible position. He turns to the approaching ghouls and stands by the hallway, waiting for the ghouls to funnel through. For good measure, he throws a dagger at the nearest ghoul (#2).

After the barrage of magic, arrows, and daggers, the ghouls are scattered around all over the floor, finally dead. As far as you can tell, Wave Echo Cave is now clear of enemies.
Apr 13, 2017 6:22 pm
"Wow. I think we did it!"

"Let's get Mr. Rockseeker. Maybe he can dismiss the one eyed guardian...or choose to keep it. Then we can get him back to his brother."
Apr 13, 2017 7:16 pm
The ringing has not stopped in Kama's ears. "What?" he asks, a little too loudly.
Apr 14, 2017 1:42 pm
When you get back to the room, you see Nundro stepping out, looking a bit better, "Hey, I was just goin' to find ye. How's the good work going?"
Apr 14, 2017 3:54 pm
"From what we can tell, the mine is cleared of undead. We could do one more sweep to be sure, but we took out the wraith that led and likely created them. The biggest issue that remains is a guardian that was placed in the forge. It's a spectator that claims it's guarding it for the original dwarf, gnome, and human owners. I suspect that if you talk to it, you may be able to dismiss it with a hearty 'job well done, laddie!' "

Nundro looks at you blankly, "A 'speck tater'?"
Apr 14, 2017 3:56 pm
"Big floating eyeball with more eyes on stalks. Kind of like a mini-beholder. Speaks directly into your mind, which is a bit freaky."
Apr 14, 2017 4:48 pm
"He... wait, he? It?" Kama begins. "Anyway, it seems friendly enough. At least, it won't kill you if you just talk to it. Maybe dismiss it, or have it keep guarding. We didn't ask if its job would end once dwarves start using the forge again."

Kama perks up. "Wanna see?"
Apr 17, 2017 4:52 pm
"Huh," Nundra says, face scrunched up in concentration as he tries to think of when that might look like, "Sure, I'll go see 'im."

You lead the way to the Forge Room and the spectator still floats there, I sense that the creature that was here before is now dead? it sends into your mind, I thank you for making my task less of a burden.

Nundro stares at the odd-looking creature with wide eyes.
