"Just get on." The orc responds, already looking away from Fink.

it isn't long before the regal human practically screams. "Prepare for departure!" A flurry of activity follows, the few members it takes to operate such a craft pull back the gangplank, secure their collections, and bring a small crystal into a glass lantern which connects to the skycoach. "First stop, Tradefair. Captain Stellard of house Orien, at your service." Standing at the captain's wheel, the Stellard pulls a lever; a flash of blue blinds everyone as the crystal begins to glow and crackle within it's housing. Some of the passengers lose their footing as the skycoach begins to ascend, weaving through the numerous towers or other such aircraft.

While the other passengers are taking in the interesting mix of smells and sights of the lower city from the safety of a skycoach, the denizens look at you with envy before going about their day.

Dent seats themselves next to Vimak and continues to hold the Inquisitive in front of their face. They read aloud again while discretely peering at the crowd over the top of the paper. "This one is more of what one would expect here Vimak."

Four Bodies Found in Burned Carriage

SHARN—City Watch are investigating as homicide the burned-out shell of a carriage found at dawn Zor on northern Razzell Street in the Granite Halls district.

Watch sergeant Garrick Draum said four bodies—three adult male humans and one female shifter—were seated in the carriage. Traces were attached to the carriage, but no horses were present, he said.

The carriage itself was badly charred but cool to the touch. The flames didn’t spread to any nearby buildings, Draum said.

"I find it a little hard to believe that, even in the wee hours of the morning, no one saw a carriage fire in the middle of the street," Draum said. Shops along Razzell Street—mostly antiquities dealers—were shuttered, and the street gets little night traffic.

The Blackened Book branch of the Sharn Watch is trying to ascertain the identity of the passengers in the carriage, Draum said. And the City Watch is trying to find eyewitnesses who saw the carriage or the fire; those with information should speak to the City Watch on patrol in Granite Halls or speak to a sergeant on duty at the Watch’s Sword Point garrison.

Speaks to the mood of the city at the moment.

Bright sits back, relaxes, and surveys the view.

It doesn't matter to me if everyone reads the spoilers, it's more for keeping things neat and compact.

Gentleman, I think we have some unwanted company. Shall we go ask them for their tickets? With a nudge to Dent, he starts to ready his weapon, and keeps an eye out for whoever is ambushing them.

So, about how many are their total?
Nov 30, 2018 7:05 pm
OOC:
Good question: Seven in total. Keep in mind there are two (friendly) guards on the ship as well.

I need to post a map but it might be a day or two, pretty busy weekend for me.

Dent calmly folds the newspaper exactly as it had been when it was purchased. They look at the hooded figure approaching the captains area "Yes, I note hostiles as well, threat level High. Perhaps a fight would make me less anxious."
Dent places their hand on Vimaks shoulder and murmurs "Dol Dorn be with you".

Be ready for trouble. Remember, we have a deadline to make, we can't allow these fools to slow us up. The old man moves his hands to his concealed weapons and readies himself for whatever is about to transpire.

Two of these strange figures approach from the rear, wielding a sword in one hand and a wand in the other. Climbing from the bow stands another, defiantly pointing their own blade at Stellard. "Surrender your stolen goods if you wish to live 'Captain'! Don't think you would get away so easily!" Stunned for a few seconds at this intrusion, Stellard tries to sound confident, but his words are laced with fear. "Now I-I don't know who you brigands think you are, but I will not stan-stand for this!" He pulls out a rapier, pointing back at the accuser.

The passengers meanwhile, are overcome with terror; screaming and trampling on the deck as they attempt to escape from these rogues. Some are already sliding down a ladder to the cargo hold while others run into the captain's quarters. The thieves don't pay the passengers any mind, firmly fixated on Stellard and his muscle.

Four of them are still hanging onto the hull, barely high enough to peek at the chaos.

OOC:
I usually use a simple map maker but I liked the design too much, you can move anywhere freely on the deck -even along the railing- EXCEPT the sails. If you wish to re-position yourself go ahead. The ballista weren't part of the equation and aren't prepped for use currently.

You may do something non-combat related if you wish, if someone attacks everyone please roll initiative. The "hidden" rogues are within reach for attack.

"Wandslinger on the stern...will attack from range." Dent analyzes loud enough for Fink, Aren, and Vimek to hear. "House Orien could be a powerful ally if we aid the captain, even if he is a thief." Dent tries to evaliuate the brigand speaking to the captain.

"Not your business outsider! Unless you'd like to paint the street with your blood!" Shouts one of the masked perpetrators, pointing his blade downwards to the interconnected bridges and stairwells. You estimate the closest is at least 100 feet from the skycoach as it slowly drifts upward. A few of the passengers look mortified at this news, backing away from you.

With that threat, Dent takes their full movement to position themselves between the capitan and the attackers on the quarterdeck. Dent readies their warhammer to strike at the attacker with the wand. "I suggest you begin a controlled decent capitan, this may get messy."
