Cyriel emerges from his trance, partly catalysed by Valrakas's actions. CRASH!!

Finding himself standing alone on the trail in front of a now open pit he rushes for cover.

The boulder crashes through the makeshift cover of the trap and lands with a soft thud as it hits the bottom of the poorly dug pit. The four of you lie in wait in the underbrush for several minutes.

It doesn't appear that anything is coming to investigate.

Cyriel says, "No, actually I don't remember that, and I usually have a pretty good memory." He sounds genuinely concerned about his lack of recollection. "Oh, wait... That's a joke, isn't it?"

He then reaches forward to touch Valrakas's harpoon. "A little light for you."

Erevior hears the quotation marks around "joke" but doesn't recognize Cyriel's distaste. Instead, he thinks it's just Cyriel having a hard time coming up with the right word in Common, just like Erevior has trouble with the human language sometimes.

Erevior starts to scat under his breath, the rhythm in tempo with his accelerated heartbeat. He's ready to clobber some "Gobos."

The four of you cautiously enter the cave with Valrakas, in a slight crouch due to his height, leading the way. With his harpoon glowing it's easy to see that there is a small cavern, or possibly a room, another 10 feet or so ahead. Suddenly Vex, who has been carefully peering around the minotaur, whispers in a loud voice. "WIRE! STOP!"

Vex nods and moves forward to the wire, "Here it is," he says and bends down to point it out to everyone.

The wire sits about 3 inches off the ground, strung across the entryway of the cave.

As you each take your turn stepping (or jumping as the case may be) over the wire you come into a room which is roughly 12'x15' in size. There is another entrance way into the room in the opposite corner from where you entered. Quite a bit of garbage and debris is littering the floor and there are six small saddles and a rack with eight spears on the far wall. The saddles and spears appear to be very well cared for.

Before entering the room Cyriel whispers, "Shhhhh, let me check the room before we enter." Cyriel uses his keen senses to detect or hear movement in the room.

Cyriel detects no movement of any kind in the room but does notice a flickering light coming from the opposite entrance.

Continuing to whisper... "I think this room is empty but that exit over there looks promising... Let's keep moving..."

Feeling the tension of being underground, Cyriel tries to be stealthy, while keeping his eyes peeled.

Erevior sniffs as he moves through the room to the door with the others, suspecting that the saddles are used for wolves or other canines. Then he pauses his scat long enough to listen at the door.

Vex pauses at the door with the others to listen and look for anything of note, then advances with them to the other side, moving as quietly as he can manage, sword and shield at the ready.
