OOC:
Did my last ray of frost kill one of the enemies? Also, the attack roll for it should have been +8 instead of +7, I forgot to add the bonus from the +1 wand.
Miri paces around the deck, wand outstretched and shooting blue-white streaks of cold energy across the ship.
OOC:
Movement to wherever takes me as far from the enemies as possible, then ray of frost on the closest target.

Rolls

Ray of Frost Attack - (1d20+8)

(13) + 8 = 21

Ray of Frost Cold Damage - (2d8)

(74) = 11

Laughing all the way, Roscoe dances forward, sticks a sorry sonuvabitch with his rapier, and dances away.
OOC:
Move in, Attack action, withdraw with bonus action Dash.

Selecting target that fits Rakish Audacity criteria for sneak attack: "you are within 5 feet of it, no other creatures are within 5 feet of you, and you don't have disadvantage on the attack roll."

EDIT: Sorry, attack bonus is +6 only, not +7.

OOC:
Apologies Miri, yes, your ray of frost did kill one of the pirates before your group boarded. You brought it down from 13 combatants to 12. :)
Srisa lands and the faces of the nearest pirates blanch shock white at the sight. Sailors all along the Channel have heard of the tritons, but mostly as threat and boogeymen, destined to slaughter them if they fell overboard. Srisa, you have advantage against pirates 1, 2, and 3.

A crackling white beam of frost blasts the middle of the pirate nearest your ship, freezing him in place where he lasts for a moment before the movement of the vessels causes him to slide off the deck and into the drink below, a human ice cube.

Roscoe finds a peg-legged sailor away from the rest, and makes quick work, adding a red flourish to his vest to match the red bandanna on his head! With a sad thump, the pirate hits the deck lifeless.

Zeph's blades whistle through the air, alerting the sailor on the far side of the ship. She manages to duck out of the way of the first blade, though the followup attack clips her thigh, spinning her around quickly.

Zale, currently none of the enemies are trying to come aboard, it would see they are a bit pre-occupied with getting assaulted.

Oxandren's strike obliterates another of the pirates, the green fire leaping to a nearby sailor, singing his shell-decorated beard.

The three sailors near Srisa look worried, and only one steps up to attack, scimitar flashing in the sunlight as he hacks at the triton.

The woman that Zeph had clipped grits her teeth and runs across the deck, leaping with a vertical chop, hoping to slice into Mr. Ariti!

Two pirates see how nasty Roscoe was to their crewmate, and they both advance, swords stabbing out.

The remaining two pirates saw the magical assault from elsewhere and run belowdecks, yelling THEY'VE GOT SPELLSLINGERS!

Seeing the pirates in awe of Srisa, Zale realizes none of them are going to dare board Selûne's Grace. The genasi takes a swig from his flask and leaps across the gap to join the battle on the other vessel.

Taking the hit, well more of a tickle, Zeph whirls around behind the women. He takes a deep breath in and exhales a Gust of air.

OOC:
Will give Oxandren until tonight to take an action, then I'll pick it back up.
Mar 31, 2019 2:47 pm
Zale's leaping kick manages to send one pirate to their knees in a flash of pain, though the other deftly avoids the strikes. Roscoe, taking advantage of the moment, stabs the downed pirate, sending a wash of blood over his boots as the poor man expires. In the blink of an eye, his dagger then draws a bright line across the other pirate's neck, dropping him to the ground as well.

Miri's now-infamous frosty beam causes a light rime to form on a pirate's beard and blossoms of frostbitten skin can be seen to crystallize after the beam fades away as he disappears belowdecks

Srisa, still not totally accustomed to fighting on a ship's deck, misses the first pirate she attached. However, the sweeping motion of her second strike severs the man's legs at the knee and he perishes with a wail!

The female pirate tries to keep her footing, but Zeph's windblast shoves her hard enough against the railing that she pitches backwards and plunges into the sea below!

The remaining pirate on deck charges towards Zeph, blade whirling around. NOT ALYSSA YOU BASTARD!

Suddenly from the front of the enemy ship, you see the figurehead, a gloriously carved woman reaching forward, creak and pull herself off the bowsprit. With laborious motion, she makes her way onto the foredeck, standing a good nine feet tall!

Miri's eyes rise and continue to rise as she watches the figurehead stand and stretch. Caught between abject terror and professional curiosity, she wears a nervous smile. "I have to admit, I've never seen a boat do that before." Composing herself, she recommences her arcane mumblings. Her wand hand begins to tremble as her chanting intensifies. A sickly green light begins to emanate forth, then she retracts her wand and lunges forth. With an emerald flash, a spear of smoking, bubbling viridian liquid surges forth towards the enormous creature.
