OOC:
SO clearly I suck at actually updating. My bad all! Back to dealing with the big ugly!
Srisa explodes in a tritonian fury, weapon tearing chunks of flesh off with a pair of brutal strikes. When she finishes, the other goliath lies in a pile of lifeless flesh, blood soaking the wood.

By this time, the slaughter on the decks mixed with the sea spray has turned the entire surface of the ship's deck incredibly slick, making the it difficult terrain!

Roscoe tears into the creature with his blades, sending pieces flying everywhere!

Zeph trips the woman, knocking her prone! Roscoe, thankfully, leaps free of the falling woman, using some netting to arrest his fall as she tumbles. As Zeph leaps atop her to land a solid hit, he feels wood crack under the blow.

Miri's orb sails out, completely missing the target as the woman falls to the ground.

The woman stands up, achingly, wood cracking loudly as she does. Seeing Zeph nearby, she swings twice towards him landing a pair of solid blows (Crit [29 damage] and 17 vs. AC [19 damage] - 48 total damage)! Zeph needs to make a pair of CON saves or have his hit point maximum reduced by 29 and/or 19.

The air around Srisa begins to grow violent, swirling around her armour. She angles herself to put the Golem between her and the closest edge of the ship, and then releases a furious gale of wind.

The first hit lands hard. The second is buffeted by an arcane field at the last second. "Damn mates. This lass has found my number."

I will wait to see what effect the twin gusts of wind have on the figurehead before I act. Effective or not, it is an awesome visual!

I agree, great visual! Would also like to see what comes of it before I make my move.

As the twin converging blasts of wind slam into the towering woman, causing her to creak in place. She bolsters herself and tries to resist, but the slippery deck makes it nigh on impossible. Slowly she slides backwards, further and further until her knees hit the gunwale. A snarl of focus from the windmasters as the gusts strengthen and in a rush, the woman is heaved overboard. No longer aboard the ship, it would seem her animating magics are broken and the light fades from her eyes and her massive frame sinks below the churning sea.

Combat Over! The ship is yours.

Srisa dives into the water. A minute later she resurfaces, hauling the friggin' figurehead.

"A ship needs her lady! Throw me a rope, we'll haul her up and put her back in her place: leading the way."
Jun 20, 2019 11:39 pm
"You want to keep that thing?" Zeph asks as he hurls an end of rope overboard.
Jun 21, 2019 1:54 am
Roscoe watches Srisa doubtfully. "How do we know she won't come back to life and slam our arses?"
Jun 21, 2019 1:56 am
Ignoring the others' concern, Zale gets in the water with Srisa and helps her with the now inert figurehead.
OOC:
Wasn't there a pirate in the water? And down below decks? I guess they have surrendered?
Jun 21, 2019 2:03 am
OOC:
WAS being the operative term. I mean, I suppose they still are, but in pieces now.
Zale and Srisa, both being at home in aquatic environments, have no issue lashing the rope around the figurehead's frame. The sharks circling the water seem to ignore the pair of them.

It takes several minutes, and no small amount of grunting and falling in the grisly liquid covering the deck, to haul her up. With a thud, she lands on the deck, dominating the space once again.

The pair of pirates belowdecks do come upstairs at the sound of the thud and lay their blades down.

Mercy and parlay! they cry, kneeling on the deck with their hands on the backs of their heads.
Jun 21, 2019 2:07 am
"We should be so lucky if she came alive again! Imagine the price we could get for a giant wooden golem lady! I suspect she's disenchanted now, however." She looks the figurehead over another time and gives it a poke in the face. "Right?"
Jun 21, 2019 2:11 am
Roscoe dances around the surrendered pirates. "Save it for the magistrate, ya scallywags! It's the noose for ya, I wager! Hee hee!"

Srisa looks over Zeph's injuries, and fills him with healing light.

Zale crosses over back to the Selûne's Grace to report to the captain. "The ship's ours, Captain!"
Jul 1, 2019 7:53 pm
Helane approaches you all, greeting Srisa first as the triton approaches her. The fight was magnificent Captain. However, this threat of animated figureheads needs to be reported to my people. With the number of sunken ships that litter the areas around my reef, if any such as these exist, they need to be neutralized or controlled. Do not hesitate to call on me in the future. she says as she and the captain exchange handshakes. With a nod, the triton leaps off the edge, plummeting into the waters below, disappearing beneath the frothy surface.

Ok, the rest of you lot. Well executed. Seems you captured a pair of them as well. That is very well done. Take them to the bilges and secure them to the bulkhead! she snaps, summoning a pair of deckhands to take the pirates below. That lot will net us quality coin when we return them to the powers that be. For now, it would seem we have two ships. I am loathe to lose you all, as you are commensurate crew, but we do need a prize crew. Better that you lot take it. Continue the execution of our orders, under my command as admiral of our little fleet. We can work on maneuvers as a team! she says, suddenly getting very excited by the prospects.

Zale is saddened by Srisa's departure. He didn't even get to say goodbye.
Jul 5, 2019 2:23 pm
OOC:
So, do you lot take over the ship? If you do, do you intend on continuing along under the overarching command of Admiral Helane, or do you strike out on your own?
