Cædwyn growls and finishes his beer in one pull, "Fine.. if you're dead set on this foolishness. If it's to the northwest of us then it lies on our route in any case."
OOC:
Key word 'dead'... ::shifty DM eyes::

"Wise up, the lot of you," Etna chides those reluctant. She continues under her breath as she turns back to Gaston. "Let's hope you can swing blades better than the bairns you act like. Chauntea's breath..." Making a conscious effort to perk up a little and hide her disapproval, she signals for Gaston to lead the way.

Are we going out right now? It is just now getting dark and you have been traveling all day. To continue onward would subject you to potential exhaustion.

Cædwyn sighs and follows, wondering how he ended up on the side of reasonable caution here. Ahh well, should be entertaining at the very least.

Perhaps we should rest first? Can’t fight properly if we’re too tired, eh?

"If we intend to seek this beast enroute, then I concur that it would be wiser to rest for the night." Hraefn contemplated doing some recceing first himself, but wasn't given to foolhardiness.

Bram simply nods to accept that all are seemingly in accord on their direction.

Gaston breaks into a wide grin. Grabbing a mug of ale from a man at a nearby table, he thrusts it into the air, causing ale to fall to the table and splash people sitting there. Before they can grumble or complain, the woodsman yells out "Th' morrow, thane! We shall rid us o' th' beast one 'n' ferall! To th' heros o' Geoff!", which is immediately followed by cheers, calls and backslapping as the residents of Grasmere break out into a lively round of song-singing in celebration.

Since you can’t pay us, how about food and board on the house?

Reminder on Hraefn's Rustic Hospitality background mentioned earlier. That should get us room and board in exchange for helping with the monster?

OOC:
While I would say yes to Hraefn getting free room from someone, it doesn’t necessarily mean the Inn will give him a free room, just a free place to rest; say, a barn or something. Similarly, it would not translate to the party as a whole.

That said, I’ll allow Hraefn a persuasion with advantage, as the party has agreed to help the town.

sounds good!
"Ser Merri's point is more than fair." Hraefn nodded.

Agrobar looks a bit hesitant at the suggestion that he forego payment of rooms, but after several of the townsfolk voice their approval, he says "Ah! Fine dann. Ye können drei room haben. Only für a Nacht!"

Spinning back toward the bar, he resumes his duties as servants replenish your food and drink.
OOC:
Anything to be done tonight?

OOC:
No, I'm good to call it an evening.
Jan 2, 2019 10:50 pm
OOC:
Nope, don't think Hraefn needs to recce, since everyone's coming along
