Turning to his companions, and realizing that their foe possesses arcane powers far beyond his expectations, Julian teleports the three of them back to their hidden hideout.

Upon arriving, he announces "The giants are in league with a damned sorcerer!" Visibly frustrated, he catapults a large stone into the cave wall with the wave of his hand, shattering it. "Things just became far more complicated."

"Hmmm. How safe do you we are going to be in this cave? Should we take more effort than a watch. You all know magic and such." She appears back from the entrance.

"Tomorrow, we will be undetectable by whatever scrying abilities she may posses. Tonight, however..."

Julian touches his helm and disappears.

"An arcane symbol almost killed us," Ælfric said calmly as he found an out of the way place to sit on the ground, close his eyes, and focus on healing. Words continued to come from him in a matter of fact way.

"The sorcerer knew we were coming and prepared perfectly. The giant guards were ready for intruders."

"You did go to the same exact room you were in last time. That is probably why. So what is the next plan shaping up to?" She asks.

"Ha!" Korgazhar saw the trio apparate back, all worse for wear. Their plan had failed, and the three were licking their wounds. Surprisingly, apart from his initial sneering reaction, the half-orc did not go off into one of his bullying rages. He stood in their midst, arms folded, and thought long and hard about what they ought to do next. Coming up with a better plan was a greater priority than his anger.

"Rest and heal first. Then we talk." He was visibly annoyed though, that Julian had disappeared again without a word.

"Where did our cowardly diviner go?" Korgazhar remarked. "Fernal is right for once, we are now in greater danger here; they know we are within teleporting range." The half-orc paced the cave, "No point waiting any longer. They now know we've spied on them twice, and are on full guard. It's now impossible to wait them out until their precautions die down."

"Choose the correct point of entry next, and we'll all go once you are healed up. This time prepare to fight. Choose wrongly, and we all die."
