...Where The Company of Heroes Gather and Bond

True to his warning, a moment after Julian warns you, the far west door opens and a trio of ogres come through, headed toward the entry hall. There is a brilliant flash of light before them, and almost as fast as they come through the door, they all come to a halt and go slack jaw, their eyes open and staring vacantly into the space before them.
OOC:
Julian has advantage for skill checks interacting with the ogres. Attacks are NOT with advantage for incapacitated foes, should you wish to dispatch them.
Mar 26, 2019 1:49 am
OOC:
I'll need an ally next to one of the ogres to activate my Sneak Attack damage on it. If they're next to each other, Ælfric will attack whichever one is left after Korgazhar and Fernal single-handedly dispatch the two they target. The wizard and bard may need to help me, too.

OOC:
A ghostly voice whispers past Aelfric, the accent distinctly Cajun.... 'Yew kan dew eet!'
Mar 26, 2019 2:44 am
Fernal looks upon the ogres and hesitates a moment. Safe kill now? Appears she is uncertain of the magic effect and what it is doing.
Mar 26, 2019 2:45 am
"Yes. Take the middle one," Ælfric said coldly.
Mar 26, 2019 2:53 am
With that said, Fernal move in on the one in the middle. She calls Ablaze can kill ogres and her rapier flames up. She has a defensive she with her as well. She doesn't strike yet but is more than ready to.

"They will be like this for a minute, but an injury will rouse the one that is harmed. For this reason, we must attack simultaneously, and take them down one after the other. Move in closer. When you are ready, I will toss a firebolt."
OOC:
@DM, do you want us to bother with initiative? Unless there's something I'm unaware of, this is looking like another set of 3 executions via readied actions.

Rolling damage in advance, know that I'll wait till everyone has readied attacks.

"Let us know when we can go in. If they are under charm and can be further persuaded to help us, I'm sure the bard will know the right things to say." Korgazhar would've killed the ogres, but he saw the advantages of having them charmed first.

OOC:
Julian is kinda presenting this just as a means to incapacitate them, not charm them. It's true I have advantage on Charisma checks against them right now because they're charmed by me, but I don't think that's a practical way to use the spell because being charmed doesn't actually compel them to do anything other than not attack me, and it only last for a minute as is. I think it's probably safer to just eliminate them.

OOC:
Whoops, I've no idea why I didn't get to see everyone's previous posts and actions, as in they didn't display correctly. My reply was to Polaris' earlier post on Hypnotic Pattern, so just ignore it.
Korgazhar stepped through the doorway with the rest, and with the longer reach of his glaive, immediately struck at the furthest ogre as swiftly and efficiently as he could.

You all quickly move to the west passage to greet the ogres, and in the first series of blows two of them fall dead where they stand.
OOC:
Based on my calculation, you did 125 total damage the first attack. That is enough to take down two of them.
Mar 27, 2019 7:19 pm
Fernal continues her reckless attacking of the last ogre.
OOC:
Look like 50 HP of damage. If the first attack hits, but not likely.

Without so much as a pause to take a breath, you all move on to the final ogre, who has no idea what hit him. With the precision of a surgeon, you swiftly take down the third ogre, and he, too, drops to the floor dead.
