Personally, I feel that for Changeling specifically this very late contemporary (2000~2019) era has a certain spark to it. Exploration of the self, the media, the normalization of certain aspects of life that 100 years ago would be unthinkable - all of that can add so much to what Changeling seems to offer. The 80s are another era that seems enticing for me. Plus MTV appeared around this time, right? That's kinda cool!

That said, I'm completely up for whatever!

Okay, I have an idea for a more modern Changeling game, it would be based in Newcastle (yes I know its a city from VTR but its too damn convenient not to use). In the setting, the city is ruled by the Seelie and Unseelie courts. You would be a group of Changeling that have literally just stumbled out of the Hedge with the clothes on your back, which we would roleplay through. You are all unusual though since you all seem to have been selected by a season (Spring, Summer, Autumn, Winter) while in the Hedge. That would be our starting point and we would go from there.

I have just made a quick update to the pitch, I had a couple of ideas evolve, so refresh give it another look and make sure you are still happy. Also, do we have a preference as to whether we play 1e or 2e? I'm leaning towards 1e, since I am most familiar with that.

If not having a book is not an issue, I am down with CtL. From what I read about the game, it is kind of like the Fables comic but on drugs.

It's still great for me. As for edition, I have the 2ed one, but like, anything would work for me tbh.

Yeah, the shift kind of took me by surprise too Cube but the people have apparently spoken.

Remind me, to create a new game board, I just head over to the Game Tavern and create a new thread right?

Hm, no no. Above the screen, there should be a toolbar with your avatar in the end. Click on Games, then on All Games, and then it will show all the games you're a part of. Below it, it will show all the games you're the GM. There should be a red button to create a new game there.

Cheers, keep forgetting how to do basic stuff on the forum since I dont do it often enough and I have a terrible memory. Once I have a suitably snappy name, I will create the board.
