Okay, so is there anyone left that Cass could assign to take over Darcy's strike team, if necessary? My impression is that all of the senior officers are now either captured or already assigned to one of the away teams about to be deployed.

I’d volunteer but I feel like you want a ranking officer on the science side, yes? Though believe me. I’d be up for it haha

For the strike teams, we are looking for someone with command and/or tactical expertise, I would say.

@bowlofspinach: Something I just realized I'm not entirely clear on: are the hull teams and strike teams separate things? For instance, Moira and Marbo are each on a hull team, which will be working on getting the gas into the ships' air systems. Does that mean that neither of them is going to go onboard the pirate ships as part of a strike team?

To answer your question from the thread, I hadn't actually thought of it. She's been on the Potential for about a decade, and in Spacefleet for longer. I know she's comfortable working under pressure, and certainly has experience moving people around in stressful situations. However, I'm not sure she ever would have been in charge of an away team.

I got excited out of character, honestly. She'd probably make herself available just because of her beef with Darcy. Like, she's probably thinking that she's been around long enough to have good "street smarts", and she's used to trying wild things. Does that help?

Re: your edit: Yes, that helps. But since the gas dispenser job is so technical and crucial to the success of the mission, Cass wouldn't take Moira off of that job to lead a strike team unless she had some serious cred in that area. So I guess I'm back to freaking out about who's left, lol.
