Pachelbels Canon in D is better!

Just joking, both are great. I just think Pachelbels canon is like, super soothing and uplifting at the same time
You might change your mind if you'd played it a few dozen times. :D

Uhoh, here we go. I've always been partial to Tchaikovsky. I am not even close to a classical connoisseur though. My dad listened to classical regularly when I was a kid, and Tchaikovsky's stuff always transported me to another place. I listen to mostly Prog Metal now though, haha.

Sorry, Kona! If Lorq hadn't left, I would've tried to overpower them, but... I have no idea what else to do other than hope we can cure you later.

What'cha teaching, Spinach?

And for the record, Dvorak's 9th. But only if I had to pick one. If I could, I'd talk music all day.

Dang I didn't think I was gone that long.

The chicken is about to be roasted and stuff is SUPER janky with poor Kendall.

I did establish that while she was a connoisseur, Moira was not a drunk. I'm guessing she knows the .005 rule? I feel like I owe poor Darcy an apology now....

Why? She asked YOU for the drink, you didn't offer!

English, Philosophy and Physics.

Well, I'm pretty sure Moira is operating over the Spacefleet limit but like I said, usually that limit is not enforced unless a person is showing signs of letting alcohol affect their actions

Sorry to ask for more details again, but clearly I'm not really a Spacefleet commander but only play one on the internet.

Assuming that the gas dispenser team successfully installs the gas device and the gas is dispersed through the pirate ship, is Cass waiting to hear from them that they've done the job, order them beamed back, and then beam out the strike team?

What do you mean you're not really a Spacefleet commander? Shocking!

That's how I imagined the plan but you're the acting captain so go wild.

Yeah, i made sure the strike teams were prepared and warned to wear respirators, and i made autoinjectors with a counteractive drug cocktail if one of them accidentally gets dosed. They could theoretically beam in as soon as the gas starts to leak, but they would have combat before the opponents ended up passing out. So it is your call moonbeam. Marbo is obviously concerned that the shields could turn on and shear him in half at any moment, but if you wanted to send them in, marbo could probably lay flat against the hull and be inside the shields radius when it deploys.. Worst case scenario i brought a fire extinguisher as a makeshift way of propelling myself through space, and im assuming my Star fleet badge has a tracking device in it, so you would find me.

Cass is planning to wait until the gas is released to send in the strike team, in hopes that a lack of visible armed intruders would make it less likely the pirates would prioritize sending a distress call over figuring out what's happening and trying to stop it. If armed and masked intruders suddenly beam in, it's a lot clearer that this is an attack and not some kind of strange malfunction.

So unless something goes wildly wrong, Cass won't send in the strike teams until Marbo signals that he's ready to come back to the Potential. Of course, something goes wildly wrong in this campaign every 22 minutes or so. :D

I absolutely want to see Marbo sailing through space like Wall-E.

Let's call that Plan D...

I mean, if i dont need to use the extinguisher to escape, im pretty sure the space future brand are filled with aerosolized nitrogen, which he could use to sabotage some other external systems on the outer hull while he is there.

"You know, I was God once."

"I saw that. You did good until everybody died."

I also have a plasma torch... which theoretically, propells superheated plasma out of it... so that would be a viable means of propulsion, albeit more like an RCS thruster than an actuall solid fuel booster.

Rocket man plays in the background as Marbo soars around the space battle, riding the extinguisher like a bicycle and firing his phaser at the pirate ships.
Mar 8, 2019 5:49 am
Hey Rocket Man, I'm trying to locate the place where Marbo indicates how long he estimates it will take the gas to knock out the average humanoid, but I can't find it. I want Cass to have a baseline for when to order the strike team in.

Anyone know what the estimate was?
Mar 8, 2019 5:52 am
I don't think there ever was a time specified but it's supposed to work very quickly. If you wait a minute or two, it should be safe to enter the ship
Mar 8, 2019 6:18 am
How much time has elapsed in game since the gas started dispersing into the ship?
