Fernal command her sword to shut down and wipes it clean. No surprises best.

"Open the door, if you can do so Korgazhar." Julian said as he walked to the ogre corpses. Intentionally allowing his shoes to soak in the blood of the beasts, he begins leaving a trail of bloody footprints over towards the steading's currently barred exit. "A false lead, should our work be discovered." As soon as the trail was complete, he wiped his shoes clean with a simple spell before stepping off the path he'd made to admire the deception he'd left behind for the other giants to find.

Fernal just stands about awaiting more trouble with her rapier out and shield. Keeping alert.

For once Korgazhar allowed himself a nasty smile at Julian's plan. It seemed too obvious for it to work, but nonetheless the half-orc appreciated the thought behind it. Very well." Korgazhar went right up to the main gate, which was held in place by the log. Putting all his enhanced strength into it, he braced it against his tall shoulders, and gave the log a solid heave in order to un-bar the gate.

Throwing in a check if necessary.

Korghazar
Straining under the weight of the heavy log barring the gate, you slowly begin to get your feet under you. At last the friction gives way to movement and the bar begins to slide. A few moments later, the bar has been moved enough to push open the front gate if desired.
OOC:
I thought Julian meant open the door the ogres had come through, but this works too... Where to, folks. Seems ya'll are not wanting to move at the daily pace requested, so I will just move at your various paces.

OOC:
Actually, I meant the main gate. He got the one I wanted. I want us to be able to run out if everything goes to shit. Also, those bloody footprints are leading out of the main gate. Hopefully a less than intelligent group of giants will be fooled and run off into the surrounding area instead of back into the steading, should they discover the corpses. We'll see.

"One telekinesis spell saved." Korgazhar harrumphed, then moved back to the side door where the ogres were. "Down the corridor? Direct the way to the stairs." The half-orc situated himself near point, but let Fernal go first as she was much more stealthy than he was.

Rolls

Stealth (with disadv) - (1d20+12, 1d20+12)

1d20+12 : (15) + 12 = 27

"Thank you Korgazhar" Alain whispers to the orc.

Nice. Let go. She will move 15' ahead of Korg and silently.

Rolls

Stealth - (1d20+9)

(8) + 9 = 17

Fernal quickly steps through the door leading to a hallway to the interior of the steading, followed by Korgazhar, Alain, Julian and Aelfric. The hall runs for 30' before doglegging and continuing on. At this point you find two doors, one north and one to the east. The hallway continues north into the interior, and you can all hear the bellowing of giants enjoying yet another feast within.

To the north, while fading into dark shadow, you can make out the occasional flicker of light as servants move back and forth between the kitchen and feast hall.

Again my apologies for being absent the past couple of days. Game on!

"Left door is the shorter route to the stairs down, yes?" Korgazhar looked at Julian for confirmation before proceeding, still recalling what he remembered of the map the diviner outlined for them earlier. "Avoids passage next to main hall."

Which ever you think best. She stands awaiting a choice to be made.

Ælfric regained a bit of his non-mission silence as he focused on his cloaking. He merely nodded assent to the half-orc's suggestion.

"That door would be safest. Let me confirm there are none waiting behind it."

Spending a brief moment to recast his incantation, summoning his arcane eye, he extends his vision beyond the door before them.
OOC:
I should mention that Julian is leading his pegasus through the giant sized hallway, having mentally commanded the creature to remain as quiet as possible. Ligeia has all of the weapons we purchased to arm the orcs strapped to their saddle, so unless Korgazhar also wants to carry that, this is how we'll have to get it to them.

Someone should have bought a Bag of Holding. :P

I've never been a fan of trying to bring one's steed on a dungeon crawl... but ok? And for future reference, I will not agree to the
'oh by the way, my character does 'X' because it makes sense that they would have done so'. If you want your character to do something, you need to state it. Last word was that you told your steed to remain outside and await further instruction... ;)
Julian
Slipping beneath the door, you see that there is an empty hallway on the other side. There are a few doors and another hallway headed north about halfway down.

OOC:
That's fair. I'll keep that in mind for the future. I was going to type up a message explaining that I was going to mentally command it to walk into the gate we just opened, before we moved into the hallway, but you'd already moved us forward. I suppose I should have gotten around to that sooner.

Fernal watches with some interest but not much as Julian casts some magic. She is just getting antsy waiting the hall as she knows there is too many about that could find us. Probably should have drank more wine before leaving. She just stand by supporting a wall and running her fingers down her rapier's blade. Hope move soon.

"The hall is empty for now. We should move quickly."
