"I am with you Dreamseer." Sister Ashar heeds Julian's advice and stands near by him, facing down the corridor to the incoming enemies. She gets ready to unleash Sacred Flame on the first hostile she sees.

Ælfric groaned, annoyed yet resigned to the coming battle and the bloody road out of this place. He positioned himself across from the half-orc and the berserker, rapier ready.

"Careful, Korgazhar. I might be able to get out of here alone but you and Fernal should get near the wizard if things devolve."

The bugbear comes bursting through the cell block main door, oblivious to the fact that the cells are open and are now lit as opposed to black. A pair of huge apes follow, their bodies thick and muscled and their appendages capped with dagger-like claws. The first enters and begins throwing what can only be described as a tantrum, as it beats the floor, walls and itself, all the while roaring out a challenge to anyone inside.

The trio do not seem to immediately notice anything, when suddenly the second ape sees Ligeia in the first cell and ruses to attack. The bugbear looks around, and spies Korghazar near the table where the guards had been. With a snarl, he rushes to attack, as does the other ape.
OOC:
Although they have a higher initiative, I ruled that they had to take perception checks first in order to see you all due to the waning magic persisted by Aelfric. No monster attacks for round 1. You may now all post your actions.
May 30, 2019 10:02 pm
Ligeia bludgeons the keepers pets with her hooves while Julian moves into a defensive position.
OOC:
Ligeia: Hooves attack against ape 2.

Julian:
Movement: N-W-W-W
Action: Toll the Dead on the Ape Ligeia attacked if it is damaged but lives, Otherwise he'll firebolt it or the other ape.

DC 17 Wis for Toll the Dead

Dwendylin emerges from the cell just behind Korgazhar and invokes the sun god pelor. She extends a hand before her towards her enemy, and mutters in the celestial tongue. "Heaven's ire descend."
OOC:
Casting Sacred Flame at which ever one of the two enemies charging Korgazhar, Aelfric did NOT hit. They need to make a DC 15 DEX save. Success = No damage. Failure = 17 damage.

Waiting for kinda a picture to place everything before Fernal moves to attack.
May 31, 2019 1:06 am
OOC:
DM, Korgazhar's starting position should be in the cell next to Fernal, based on my earlier posts. (Actually I mentioned that he's in the first cell, but it's ok if we rule that he's in the second, since Ligeia might fill the whole of the first cell.). Gene then described Fernal as standing next to Korgazhar. We can still use your description, which is that the bugbear and first ape spot Korgazhar and rush to attack.
Gene, the picture post is in DM's post above.
With all stealth lost, and the impending threat of whoever this Keeper-torturer was who was ominously hovering outside the cell block, Korgazhar wasted no breath in channeling his inner spirit of aggression and combat. With a snarling cry louder than the bugbear's charge, he swung his huge glaive at both bugbear and ape, intending full well to chop them both down with his attacks.
OOC:
Using Fighting Spirit as a bonus action (adv to attack rolls till end of turn and +10 temp hp). Will attack ape 1 first, then bugbear if the ape 1 dies (wishful thinking). Using GWM-5/+10, that's already applied to my rolls .

Hey, sorry all, i'm still getting used to PbP on a forum and have not been as diligent as I should be, something I will be sure to rectify. Since I seem to have missed it, here's my initiative roll. Again, apologies for the lateness.

Hey SirLancelot I think you still have to take an action now. We've all acted on the first round already, just waiting on you then the enemies will go. Don't worry about init order, the DM will resolve actions in the correct order. I hope I'm not speaking out of turn.

OOC:
Nope, you are fine. I'll try to post later today. This weekend hit me with a sinus bug and I am really not feeling it at the moment.

The all-too familiar sound of The Keeper snaps Ambrosia into action, as he joins the rest in the fight. Lacing his words with practiced lethality, Ambrosia Mocks the Bugbear Viciously

"Oh you poor thing, you're hardly worth the effort, though its a welcome warm up before I have words with your boss."
OOC:
Moves N, N, then casts Viscous Mockery at the Bugbear. Must make a WIS 17 Saving Throw, no damage done on a success, disadvantage to first attack on failure
