Julian chants in mixed tongues, a bizarre hybrid of celestial and infernal speech. Extending his hand toward the bugbear assaulting him and Ligeia, he drains the life force of the foul creature while simultaneously closing the wounds of both himself and his steed.
OOC:
Movement:None
Action: Toll the Dead (Bugbear 5, DC 17 Wis Save or 16 Damage)
Bonus Action: Healing Word (1st level, +6 HP to Ligeia & Julian)

Julian
Grabbing at its head as the ominous bell tolls, you watch as the bugbear seemingly molts, chunks of fur falling from it as it is assaulted by the psychic attack. It is battered and bruised, both physically and mentally, but fights on!
OOC:
Bugbear #5 fails his save, 16 psychic damage. Fernal is up!

Rolls

Bugbear #5 WIS Save DC17 - (1d20+1)

(1) + 1 = 2

Does Fernal have Insightful Fighting currently on this bug bear?

GeneCortess says:
Does Fernal have Insightful Fighting currently on this bug bear?
OOC:
As a bonus action you gain insight for 1 minute, i.e. 10 turns by my interpretation, so yes

Foaming at the mouth screeching I-chi Fernal savagely tears into the bugbear before her.

Fernal
A blur of muscle and sweat, you cleave into the lone bugbear in front of you. A look of shock crosses its face at the shear ferocity of your attack, clearly underestimating you and your skill in battle. before it can raise its weapon to defense against your attack, your second strike splits its skull nearly in two, and the hapless guard collapses to the floor.
OOC:
40 damage to Bugbear #8, which falls! Korgazhar is up!
Aug 2, 2019 10:32 am
Temporarily relieved of the looming threat of the fire giant, Korgazhar turned to the two remaining pesky bugbears who had been attacking his flank and snarled, "Come, taste death!"
OOC:
Sorry I can't remember which was the injured one, the one Aelfric shot. Attacking that one first. If it doesn't die from the first two attacks, then the bonus attack is a PAM attack. If it dies, then the bonus attack is a melee attack on the other bugbear. Edit: PAM attack rolled a 1, I get to reroll 1s and 2s, so let's just call it 3.

Like to move Fernal too but really don't know what the combat situation looks like now. Could you redo up a map for me?
Aug 5, 2019 7:50 pm
Korgazhar
Your glaive slices through the severely wounded bugbear nearest you, its body nearly split in half as if screams briefly. You follow up with a viscous carving of its comrade, though this bugbear still looks fairly fresh. It howls in pain at the sting of your glaive, and steps back to regroup before snarling and attacking back.
OOC:
First blow killed BB#6, extra and bonus attacks hit #4 for a total of 32 (check my ruling, not sure if your extra attack can be moved to the other guard). Aelfric is up!
Fernal

Sorry I missed posting Friday. I flew to Chicago and left my laptop home....

Fernal moved to the west of bug bear #4 after finishing off the one and preparing for another.

"Keep the big man free to deal with the flaming giants," Ælfric thought as he rushed out, surveyed the scene, and fired an arrow from his longbow at the remaining bugbear near Korgazhar before ducking back into the cell!

Rolls

1d20+9 : (13) + 9 = 22

1d8+5 : (6) + 5 = 11

5d6 : (46531) = 19

Aelfric
With rapid precision, you dart out of the cell block and into the main battlefield, releasing your deadly arrow. It strikes true, blasting through the skull of the bugbear and sending it reeling to its death, the lifeless corpse dropping like a stone to the floor.
OOC:
30 HP damage to Bugbear #4 leaves #5 as the lone, non-retreating or hypnotized combatant.
Aug 7, 2019 4:39 pm
Ligeia
Try as it might, the weakened and bloodied bugbear guard cannot breech your defenses and both of his blows fall harmlessly away. However, the two previously
OOC:
Bugbear #5 misses, #7 and #10 have recovered from their psychic fear and are returning to combat, though they are spending their actions on movement this turn. Ambrosia is up!

Bemused by the poor life choices of the Bugbear rushing Korgzahar, Ambrosia calls out:

"Yes, run TOWARDS the blood-crazed half-orc that's just disemboweled your kin. Because that's going to end well.

He turns his attention to his companions, chiming in

"I think this is nearly finished, they're running themselves ragged. Lets speed it up shall we?"
OOC:
Vicious Mockery at Bugbear 10. WIS 17 Save or disadvantage on next attack and takes damage. Bonus Action Mantle of Inspiration to Korgzahar, Fernal, Julian, Ligeia, and Dwendylin; 11 Temp HP and can use your Reaction to move without procing OOA

(43) = 7

Aug 8, 2019 1:28 pm
OOC:
Everyone state your move action (or lack of) before any other actions.
The bugbear returning to the fight cries out in pain as the psychic assault hits it. Dropping the morning star, it collapses at Korgazhar's feet, blood running from its lifeless eyes and nose.
OOC:
Failed save results in the death of BB #10. Fire Giant 2 is up!

Rolls

Bugbear Wisdom Save - (1d20+1)

(8) + 1 = 9

OOC:
I wanted to reiterate that everyone else can take their bonus HP and movement first, then I will post the fire giant actions. If you elect not to move, that is fine, but I need to know so I am not waiting on you.
Aug 8, 2019 9:39 pm
Ælfric waited in the cell, holding his longbow and his breath for the big bastards to make their play while his fellow little people scurried about.
Aug 8, 2019 9:51 pm
OOC:
Is Bugbear #5 still on fire, and did he take damage on his turn? Also, I don't think it matters right now, but that spell I cast deals necrotic damage I was dealing, not psychic. :)
Ligeia fled 40ft to the north, Julian still atop her back, kiting the bugbear so as to keep out of his range.

Seeing the last bugbear fall from Ambrosia's spell, Korgazhar appreciated the bard's re-energising magic which gave him the ability to move and refreshed him again for the fire giant. Korgazhar circled back a little, just behind the dead body of the Keeper, to ready himself for the fire giant's charge, and taunted, "Will you fight, or are you a coward like the other one?"
OOC:
Korgazhar moves N-NW. Also, does the Keeper's weapon look like something Korgazhar could use?
