Dwendylin kisses the holy symbol hanging around her neck and advances with her shield held high, feeling righteous fury building up inside as she braces for more confrontation.
OOC:
How concerned are we really about this whole place catching on fire? Asking for a friend.

"C'mon you fat bastards, I've got a nice long skewer to mount your big heads on." Korgazhar charged forward to hold a position in the corridor to spear the first giant that barreled down on him.
OOC:
Korgazhar will take the spot marked W.

Hey, did you find and release the dwarves, and will they fight with us? Also I'm still hoping to find orcs that can fight, not the cowardly ones Korg found.

Mounted atop Ligeia, his familiar Lenore perched upon his shoulder, Julian prepared himself for the coming conflict, trying to calculate the best course of action.

I hope Julian remembers that Korgazhar has been nagging him to find whether there are other imprisoned orcs, the kind that can fight :)

OOC:
He does. He's also keenly aware that the orcs will be of little use to us if we're smashed by hill giants first. Finding orcs that will fight will be helpful, but it will take time to free & arm them, by which point we're very likely to be squashed if we don't deal with the immediate threat.

OOC:
Of course Fernal cares little to nothing about the imprisoned orcs and just wants to kill giants. Or most anything else that moves with her current attitude. She does will to determine which moving targets are party and which are not.

[ +- ] Hill Giant Steading Lower - 25
OOC:
I moved Korgazhar slightly closer, so he would be in range of his glaive.

Korgazhar
You rush the first giant to arrive, catching him off guard at first. Your glaive slices through the air with an audible hiss, slamming down and through the hide covering his chest. With a howl of pain, the giant stops to try and fend you off, and he succeeds in repelling your next two attacks. With a grin, he swings his massive club at you.

You manage to deflect the first blow, but the powerful brute crashes through your defenses, slamming down onto your left shoulder. The pain bursts along your appendage as you feel your fingers go numb for a moment before recovering with the familiar, painful tingle as blood begins to rush back down your arm and into your fingers.
OOC:
15 HP bludgeoning damage to Korg. Aelfric is up, as we will go ahead and move into combat again.

"We can't fight every giant and lackey in this place, Julian," Ælfric opined before he dashed off bow and arrow readied to help their half-orc. "Once we dispatch this set and free their slaves, you must get us out of here."
OOC:
Move and Dash to get as close to the junction where Ælfric can see the giants as possible. If he can reach it, he'll stay out of sight until next round when he'll attack.

Aelfric
You can hear the roar of giants (and more) coming from down the far hallway, combined with the bellowing of a familiar half-orc. Instantly you dash to give aid, though you do not quite make it to the main tunnel.
OOC:
70' movement places you about halfway up the skinny entry hall, about 20' from the main tunnel. Julian is up! - Wait for Ligea? Or something on your own?
Sep 16, 2019 9:23 pm
Ack at that far Fernal is going to have to kick this is full gear. Move, Dash (action), Dash (cunning bonus action). She can cover 150' by that means.
Sep 16, 2019 11:09 pm
OOC:
When your turn is up, you can do so..
Sep 18, 2019 9:02 pm
OOC:
Korgazhar is up!
OOC:
I'm trying to keep the game moving as much as possible, so if you miss your turn, I'm going to move on. We can add you back at whatever point you return, but I won't hold up the rest of the party.
Sep 19, 2019 2:11 am
OOC:
For his turn, not being able to do anything from his position, just presume Julian readied an action to use the helm if he deemed it necessary. Unless something drastically changes, Ligeia will use her turn to dash to a position where they can see the action but remain out of range, and Lenore will just ride on my shoulder for the time being.

Korgazhar could hear his companions further away. It would be a good thing that the two new additions recovered their equipment, to make them more effective in battle. He continued his onslaught on the first giant, with a bellow that summoned his inner fierce spirit.
OOC:
Using Fighting Spirit to give Korgazhar 10hp and advantage on attacks.

Rolls

Glaive Attack & Extra Attack & Bonus PAM attack (adv & GWM) - (1d20+6, 1d20+6, 1d20+6, 1d20+6, 1d20+6, 1d20+6)

1d20+6 : (2) + 6 = 8

1d20+6 : (12) + 6 = 18

1d20+6 : (11) + 6 = 17

1d20+6 : (15) + 6 = 21

1d20+6 : (19) + 6 = 25

1d20+6 : (16) + 6 = 22

Damage (attack, extra and PAM) - (1d10+17, 1d10+17, 1d4+7)

1d10+17 : (8) + 17 = 25

1d10+17 : (4) + 17 = 21

Ok, I'll get the map updated later today (I hope. Really busy day and headed out to SC tonight to visit my son for a long weekend)
