Yes, Haephin's symbol is a golden man's face, strong jawed and stylized. It is backed by a golden white halo of light.

There is a facility in town called The Rose Tower that offers free housing for travelling Order knights. If they are to be in town for more than a few weeks, they are encouraged to find housing on the economy.

I'm tied in with triquetra0 by being childhood friends. That's the only tie-in I have right now. I went with the Samurai archetype to reflect his fighting spirit and resolve on the battlefield. That plus my character is a member of the Order of the Ravensbane, so I figured if you roll all of that together, the Samurai would fit.

I'm definitely open to a tie-in if you want.
Glenk is the second in command of the town guard under the sheriff. He would know most of the knights and if they grew up in town probably their families. Your character (name?) and Matthew were probably some trouble makers in town when you were younger or Glenk thought that given Matthew being a half-orc. You maybe defended him and convinced Glenk otherwise. And He’s proud to see you both as knights but he wouldn’t tell you.

That'll work.

That's a good tie-in. Let's go with that. For the record my character's name will be Elijah Rohmner, or Eli to close friends and family.

"I remember you Rohmner. How are your parents?"

@Glenk- They are doing pretty good. Father is still sore over me not going into the family business. Yet, when you are the 3rd born son of a noble family, what should they expect? Thanks to my brothers, I had no hopes of getting a title from the family. So I stepped out on my iwn, to make my own path in life.

@Dramasailor- What are the exports for our fair city? I'm looking for a "family business" for my character not to go into.

Bromwich doesn't export much, by themselves. Their worth is primarily as a trading hub. Dwarves from Glitterhall, Elves from Mosstop, Goliaths from the Mistspire Mountains all bring their own wares into town once a month for half a ten-day to trade. Bromwich profits from this greatly, as the Hammonds family reaps profits from the food, local merchants take the chance to sell various pieces of adventuring gear and weapons and get things from the visitors in return.

Especially as it pertains to the Elves and Dwarves, Bromwich serves as a market-town for travelers from elsewhere in the Kingdom. While they aren't necessarily on the road to any particular location, the ease of trading with several other communities there drives a steady flow of people to the town.

That said, one of the potentially largest "family business" type activities here is running an inn/tavern. There are several throughout the town. This extends to those that manage the market (a location not pictured on the town map).

Whatever the family business is, that is a really great way to tie in almost every character. Family inn? regular guest (or performer). Market broker? I bring stuff from the wherever to trade! Caravan repairs? Always check it before travelling! We can basically all know your family and, by extension, that "disgraceful" 3rd son that decided to do what with his life? Be a samurai? Ah kids these days ...

(Even though I would see a noble family more like owing the land instead of the business ;) )

@everyone I put in my backstory that my mother used to be the kind of lady that everyone was friends with and knew. Basically she was the sweetest and most caring lady with a doting husband. (Until her husband and her were attacked by an orc) [if that is alright]

We have our mysterious elven bard, a human druid raised by elves, a dwarven soldier discovering his magical blood, the 3rd son of a noble taking his destiny into his own hand, and a half-orc chosen by God to rid the world of evil... Anyone I missed ?

Depending on if LWunder is going to be joining or not, there may be an elven rogue involved as well. Otherwise, yes, that looks to be what I'm seeing. :)

When you both get a chance, get your character sheets submitted and we'll get things rolling sometime tomorrow. :)

Hi everyone - Lwunder invited me to join and Dramasailor accepted. I am going to play a human wizard, my experience with D&D is outdated, to say the least, fairly new to PbP also so bear with me. Here are my stats rolls:

Corrected and ordered rolls: I think I will go with the standard array to get rid of that 4 - seems like they are ordered S, D, C, I, W, Ch on character sheets now, so mine would be 8,14,13,15,10,12. Let me know if you have any questions, comments, or suggestions, thx

update: I switched strength and wisdom
