I think dramasailor allows you to pick an alternative method if you think you had bad rolls.

thanks, I was chatting with him yesterday on Discord, he mentioned that so I used the standard array and edited my post to reflect that in the corrected rolls. Being new, I don't want to try to figure out the point buy.

Rolling my attributes!

Results: 12, 9, 11, 12, 14, 12

Since these are decidedly less than point-buy, I will opt for the alternative.

15, 15, 13, 12, 8, 8. I will create a half-orc barbarian that originates from the mountains above Bromwich. More details to follow!

I have submitted Mönkhbat, a half-orc berserker. Once a member of a nomadic tribe, he chose to venture out on his own after his tribe was assimilated into a larger community.

And that suddenly became a pretty crappy character ;)

Nah, not a crappy character. lol. I would personally keep that set still, though point buy may be able to produce a slightly more optimized set.

Really not much difference from using standard for stats. Did look so much better before removing the lowest dice. Oh well character wasn't designed for optimum. You don't do Half-Orc warlocks for such.

She is just about done and the partial is applied. She is good enough for play. Just need to do some background and gear.

Okay. Me is ready. This is known about her.

Rose actually runs the local brewery that supplies the town with its beverages. Although she doesn't own it, she is the one that runs with 2 other helpers.

Most know she has a dark background, but is a good sole. Seems rumors that she left the Mistspire Mountains region in a bad way and why none see her mother or father. Most know her mother was human.

Occasionally at times she does have an annoy raven that often seen with her. Most all believe it is her pet. What ever it does say usually is in some strange language, which it appears Rose knows and is usually followed by SHUT UP. Many suspect the raven is a bit intelligent.

She is known to do simple tricks (Cantrip Prestidigitation). She likes entertaining the local kids a times. Probably why most people don't really fear her in any way. Most know that she can perform magic of greater power, but generally doesn't in public. It is rumored and she doesn't say what she can do.

She lives in an adjacent room to the Brewery. It is a private quarters and she doesn't entertain anyone there.

She is a towering 6'2" and 224#. She is rather top heavy and has flaming red longer hair as well as broad shoulders. She is very much a looker and shapely. Her eyes are black pupil with highlights of amber. She currently looks like she is stuffed in her studded leather armor and has a quarterstaff in her hands or nearby.

Just need an intro posting.

This posting is for Mönkhbat. Some background history between him and Rose.

Mönkhbat knows Rose from his youth. Her father was much devious cruel man who only had plans for rose to be a trophy to gain position. She was to be groomed and sold.

Rose was a his prize. She had a terribly lot of her mother in her but still held much of her father to. She was strong like her father and would make a fine warrior wife. She had a easy personality that let her mingle with all the kids. Even as youth she was obviously going to be star. She had so much of her mother about her, that made her shapely and attractive. And she had that stunning flaming red hair of her mother to boot. She was marked by youth to be different. There was no other like Rose.

Her father made it a point that no other were to touch her. Even at an early age she attracted the boys. She was much a tom girl and like to play the harder games of the boys. There wasn't a boy there that didn't know flaming red haired Rose. Competition among the boys had already started to try to win her attention.

Then she vanished. Word was her mother had come and taken her. All before had thought her mother was dead, but from the rampage and rants from her father, there was no doubt that had been a lie. For months, he searched for Rose. It was a great unsettling for the longest time. Eventually he gave up and had to rest upon the point that her mother had finally won. And his trophy Rose was gone with his dreams.

Does this infer that our two tribes knew of each other, prior to Rose relocating to Bromwich?

For some reason, I posted Mönkhbat's backstory in the OOC thread, instead of here. This is how I envisioned my half-orc's origins:

If asked, Mönkhbat does not know who his mother and father were, but children in his mountain tribe were birthed and raised by everyone. He was among six other cubs, and the brothers and sisters of his litter were close friends that shared a happy childhood.

As nomads, Mönkhbat lived in squalid and harsh conditions on the edges of civilization, but his tribe taught them the methods of survival, including how to fight. Battle between tribes was commonplace, and Mönkhbat honed his skills in the unyielding crags against orcs, goliaths, and many others.

Unfortunately, the intertribal wars took their toll upon Mönkhbat's family, and many of his brothers and sisters were killed. His ravaged community was forced to assimilate into larger tribes, but Mönkhbat decided to venture out into the wild and honor the memories of his litter through glory in battle. He made his way down the mountain to the closest area of civilization, Bromwich.
