OOC:
alright, here's what I'll do:
I have a post building in my head that will stretch the talking before (possible) combat just long enough for Maighan to catch up. Alata too if he is moving at "running" pace and not "trudging". (If you want to stick with trudging that's fine too, you'll roll into combat after 18 × 5 ÷ 3 × 10 = 300 rounds, since I see trudging as 3/5 of walking speed, you were 20 minutes walking away (and I'm gifting you 2 minutes) and there's 10 rounds of combat in a minute)

To keep things simple I'm putting you all in "group 1" and the undead+daddy in "group 2". The rolls done (+ Nàdair's and mine for group 2) will determine the order.

Roddric, I don't see you ACTUALLY casting the spell yet, just getting ready to cast it when Mönkhbat gets into action? (I'm seeing this because Mönkhbat is just "obviously preparing to battle") Please correct me if I'm wrong, that would change everything;-)!

Also I'm not going to be a jerk and mess with the time of Mönkhbat's rage (yet). The 1 minute lasting time starts AFTER my post (since I easily seeing that lasting 30 seconds), giving you 10 rounds from then.
What I need is:

Alata telling me if he's running or trudging

Roddric telling me if they hold for Mönkhbat to move or cast immediately

Nàdair to post (no pressure, it's just something I'll wait a bit for)

After that I'll post and (probably) get combat rolling!

OOC:
i also have a post in my head that is not combat 🎶🎶🎶 :)
Nàdair looks at the wave of undead walking through the gates and then locks eyes with their leader. Slowly taking her fingers to her lute, she starts playing with a few string, quickly matching the undead mumbling. "What an interesting love song!" she starts playing, accompanying the song with soft notes and fragrances (usual can trip). "Can’t you guys just feel the wound in his heart?" she continues playing, hoping to catch’s the necromancer’s artistic attention.
OOC:
I rolled twice in case there is some necrotic disadvantage, given the audience poor listening skills ;)

Rolls

Creepy performance - (1d20+5, 1d20+5)

1d20+5 : (20) + 5 = 25

1d20+5 : (17) + 5 = 22

Roddric is preparing to cast web to prevent some undead on the sides or back of the group from engaging with the Monkbat or the others. He will wait until he has some indication what Monkbat and any others from our group like Nadair who are nearby are doing, when he thinks he has a relatively clear shot he will try to take it.
Sep 13, 2019 3:43 pm
The humming stops and the man gasps at Mönkhbat's words, a look of utter shock plastered on his face. How rude! And in front of the children! His eyes love to Nàdair, a smile spreading on his face again. Yes! She gets it! He starts dancing the most awkward dance any of you has ever seen, not following the rhythm of the song at all.
Meanwhile the undead holding the guard's leg tilts his head at Mönkhbat and speaks in a loud, almost uncontrolled voice. You cranky. Günther cranky when hungry. You eat! He pulls the leg forward, offering a bite. Another undead yells Cranky when period! followed by a slow grumbly chuckle from all undead around. It's a unsettling sound that would make the hairs of lesser heroes stand up straight. While the undead laugh Maighan and Alata arrive at the scene.
OOC:
as you can see I haven't put up the combat order up yet, since we're not in combat yet, so you can still post freely without any restrictions to time or actions!

Never one for subtlety, Mönkhbat continues his charge for the crazy man, greataxe poised to remove the head from under the mushroom hat.
OOC:
The half-orc is looking to fight, unless someone stops him.

OOC:
Alata would walk normally, with a purpose.
Sep 13, 2019 10:52 pm
This seems like a good time to avoid notice, so Maighan begins casually moving through the crowd to try and position herself behind the clearly-crazy man and his undead companions.

alright! Combat has started. Just a few things:

Alata, walking normally would still mean you (probably) miss the fight. Is that really what you want to do?

Maighan, everyone had left the area, there is no crowd other than the undead and I don't think you can blend in with them; you look way too life-like and we'll dressed. You can however just walk around them, they're not in an fighting mindset and will just see you walking around and not threatening.

Mönkhbat to keep things going please roll your attack rolls so I can use them when nobody stops you.

Roddric, I'm assuming you cast web and will incorporate that in my next post. I think you'll aim for the spot where you can hit as many undead as possible without obstructing the path from the party to Dairmuid (human man).

I'm going to use today to talk with Drama about how to deal with the enemies. I think it's a good idea if I make a very basic map indicating where everyone is, so I'll do that too!

Combat! PCs are up!

(This means posts are now limited to 1 action, 1 bonus action and movement, you don't HAVE to attack them obviously)

Mönkhbat roars, charging straight for Dairmuid with furious intent. He recklessly swings his greataxe to try and take the human's head off.
OOC:
Movement: direct for Dairmuid (assuming he's within 30 feet by the time combat started)

Nàdair will ignore the starting combat and swiftly move closer to the necromancer almost as if dancing to the macabre music. "Such emotion and such passion. Your words have inspired my friends to join the ball. Let the song guide their feet! Let us hear more about this love of yours!" she distracts the necromancer, increasing her performance to match the rising combat 'dancing".
OOC:
move and dodge action. I try to approach the necromancer in a non-aggressive manner. Can I also have a quick look around to recognise any of the undead? Is it uncle Tom? More likely: any clear signs that these undead may have come from the temple we were before? Again, not sure if roll are required, but here they are :D

[ +- ] a very simplistic map
Seeing Mönkhbat and Nàdair moving in Roddric casts web on a group of undead on the left of Mönkhbat's path to Dairmuid covering 5 undead in a thick layer of sticky webbing. The undead stop laughing, looking around very confused.

Nàdair manages to keep Dairmuid's attention, making him swing his hips and arms even more awkwardly on her changing music, causing his hat to swing left and right. One bat squeaks grumpily as it struggles a bit to hold on to the robe. Dairmuid just starts responding to Nàdair,Ah, my dear sweet Elly... as suddenly Mönkhbat is there, taking his swing.
Although Mönkhbat aims for Dairmuid's throat a sudden shift and swing of the necromancer brings his hand in the path of the axe, making a deep gash. Shocked the necromancer stops dancing, looking at the blood dripping down his arm. OW! Why did you do that?

Meanwhile Maighan manages to walk around the the undead, who, hearing their "father's" cry, all stopped chuckling, making Nàdair's song the only sound there is. Almost all eyes are on Dairmuid, making Maighan only seen by three undead nearest to her, they're not moving, just looking like they're assessing if she's friendly or mean.

Nàdair, during your performance you look around, but you don't immediately recognise any of the undead. Most of them have decayed so much you wouldn't be able to identify them even if it was your own sibling.

Unknowing of all that's going down Alata walks, with a purpose, still far away.

Combat! PC's are up!

Ah, my dear sweet Elly...

Would Nàdair recognise that... clue?
Also, who's leg was that the zombie is holding? (I forgot)

OOC:
you can always roll insight and find out if Nàdair understands;-)
The leg is from one of the guards at the gate, the other one is trying to become one with the wall, don't expect any help from him...
Sep 16, 2019 4:30 pm
Monkhbat blinks. "Uh," he begins, having not expected the question, but too angry to answer. "Let's do it again and figure it out!"

The half-orc goes into a frenzy, swinging his greataxe with reckless abandon.

Assuming he is not in immediate danger, Roddric's next action will be to stay where he is and look around for any threats or unusual activity other than the man and the undead already identified, and to continue to concentrate to maintain the web.

Not excited about the prospect of taking on a whole group of undead by herself, Maighan casually moves back from them, though she does draw her rapier, keeping it held low. Her path carries her vaguely toward Monkhbat and the necromancer, ready to aid as necessary.
OOC:
I'd like to ready an action: if the necromancer casts a spell or attacks in any way, I'll attack him.
