It turns out there are quite a few taverns here. Strangely, they double as clothing stores, each one catering to a particular sartorial style.

Krusty Kraken - Common pirate duds for sale (5 sp). Burgers (don't ask what the meat's from). Grog. (3 sp per meal).

The Last Resort - Badly named, maybe, but it's at the end of the pier, so. Seafood. Pizza topped with pineapple. Rum. Drinks with little umbrellas in them (5 sp per meal). Hawaiian shirts for sale. (5 gp).

Poseidon Pub - Meat and potatoes (guaranteed beef and pork). Any kind of beer you want. (5 sp per meal). Practical seafaring clothes for sale. (2 gp)

The Elegent Eel - Fine food and wine (10 gp per meal). Tasteful music. Strict dress code. Fine clothing for sale (15 gp) out front.

Where do you go?

OOC:
I think its safe to say that trinkets are available for sale too? some how nautically themed? :D
Phillip is pointed into the direction of ]The Last Resort[ to grab himself some new duds.. getting 10 new sets of clothes and some pizza with an umbrella drink.

OOC:
Yes, trinkets. For sale or barter.
While watching the dancing girls in grass skirts at the Last Resort, Phillip overhears an elderly halfling couple talking about going after a bounty on a certain pirate's head.

Jineer will cast disguise self on herself to make it seem like her clothes are perfect and proceed into the Elegant Eel for a quick drink. She will buy herself a new long leather coat in red, some fine silk shirts and a new hat with a large purple feather.
Nov 19, 2019 3:30 pm
While at the Elegant Eel, Jineer overhears a group of extremely well-dressed ladies gushing about something called "Fyre" which apparently is some sort of luxury music festival happening this weekend on a private island somewhere. All the rich kids are going.

OOC:
man you missed a good opportunity of making Carmen SanDiego! XDD
Phillip will continue to listen in while eating/prousing the trinkets.
OOC:
All trinkets? PHB Curse of Strad and theres another source for trinkets somewhere or are there just a bunch of oddities
Nov 19, 2019 4:48 pm
OOC:
Nela still has some but I fear your not too interested in her supply.

Grog seems visually torn between going to either the Krusty Kraken and the Last Resort. On one hand, rum, and the other, his namesake. In the end, he goes off to find out what a "burger" was and drink as much grog as he can!
Nov 20, 2019 10:16 am
Grog goes to the Krusty Kraken, and orders a "burger" by pointing at a painted picture displayed on the grimy wall. The feral dwarf is served flavorless ground meat and melted cheese in between slices of stale bread, and a handful of salted, greasy taters on the side. It looks nothing like the picture. Would probably be vastly improved by some of that mayonnaise he has in a jar. The grog isn't half bad.

[ +- ] Trinkets to purchase
Nov 22, 2019 2:18 am
Grog munches on the grub at a moderate pace, indeed adding some mayo to the burger for some improved flavor. After finishing up his food and paying, Grog will wander around minding his own business unless something interesting pops up.
Nov 22, 2019 6:31 am
Zale goes straight to the cartographer and waits for the others there.
Nov 22, 2019 6:47 pm
Grog, you notice that your jar of mayonnaise remains full no matter how much you scoop out of it. A couple of tough-looking goons follow you out of the Krusty Kraken. They don't approach you, just follow you around. Probably trying to be sneaky about it, but you're too crafty for them to escape detection.

Jineer, those Fyre girls are admiring your outfit.

Phillip, you find a crazy old man selling trinkets. He says he'll give you one trinket for every secret you tell him. You also notice the elderly halfling couple followed you from The Last Resort. They haven't approached you or anything - they seem to be discussing something, while occasionally glancing in your direction.

What do you do?
Nov 22, 2019 6:48 pm
Zale, you find Bob's studio next to the rope maker's workshop, just as Harold said. It turns out the man is a painter, not a cartographer. You find him chattering happily to himself in a soft, hypnotic voice as he works on a seascape.

"Maybe in our world there live some happy little whirlpools... we just drop 'em in... we don't know where they go. Wherever you want... that's exactly, exactly where they should live. There."

"Somethin' about like so. That's all there is to it... In our world, we can do anything..."

OOC:
Sorry for the prolonged absence. Work has been quite stressful for the last 3 weeks.
Astrias will make her way over to the cartographer with Zale. Though she wouldn't mind a bite at the Last Resort, she wants to take care of business first.
Nov 23, 2019 3:49 pm
lo sir. we are in need o a map
Nov 24, 2019 9:34 am
The artist welcomes Ian, Astrias, and Zale to his studio crammed with finished oil paintings leaning against the walls, and blank canvasses mounted on easels. The place smells of linseed oil. Bob cleans his brush by thwacking it against a table leg. "Just beat the devil out of it," he says with a chuckle.

"A map, you say? Come." He gestures at three blank canvasses, clearly inviting you to take your places, and paint. Does he mean for you to paint your own maps?
