After an interesting culinary experience of surface food, Astrias is ready to set sail to explore the area indicated on the treasure map. These heroes and heroines of the Kestrel seem to be valiant stewards of justice. The King should be pleased by their service to the great dragon turtle, though the minotaur could certainly work on his decorum in the presence of royalty.....

After Pelner finishes installing the turret stands along the railing he returns to his new quarters and starts on his project for Nela.

Ian, Zale (Bob's studio)
Bob puts the finishing touches on the vibrant seascape he has been working on, mounts it in a frame, and hands it to the first mate with a smile. "You can have this one for free. Safe journeys! Come back anytime!"
Astrias (The Last Resort)
Astrias savors a hearty seafood stew flavored with oranges and anise spirits. There's talk among some of the fisherfolk about a strange sight witnessed south of here: an unexplained glow from the sea at night. A pearl diver who swears his brother dared to investigate talks of a "translucent orb" and that his brother has not been the same since the encounter.
Phillip (walking about)
Phillip and the elderly halfling bounty hunters, Charlie and Sally Forth, get themselves another round of mai tais before heading for the Kestrel. The kindly halflings chatter about collecting bounty on an undead pirate terrorizing the northern seas who goes by the moniker Dead Jim. Another contract involves a ship named the Sea Hag helmed by a gnoll named Dykor Deadspear.
Jack, Nela, Pelner (on board the Kestrel)
Nela has no trouble consuming the rum, as the captain orders her to share it with the rest of the crew. Between that and the cask of Silver Spirits, all the sailors are soon feeling mighty fine.
Pelner gets started on the miniature house commissioned by Nela in the privacy of his small cabin/workshop. Does he join the festivities on the main deck?
Grog (Gran's Guns)
Grog heads back to the ship. The shady goons follow tail him all the way, but keep a safe distance. The feral dwarf arrives at the Kestrel just as the drunken crew party is starting to pick up.
Jineer (The Elegant Eel)
Fyre girls take up Jineer's offer, but they'd like to see the ship first. Does Jineer take these dressed-to-impress females to the Kestrel's berth?

Ian examines the map, smiles and thanks Bob before stepping outside and looking at it....does it seem like an accurate map?

The island in the painting bears a striking resemblance to the mermaid island depicted in the map tattooed on the soles of Stafford Stampe's feet. The tattoo looked like it was scrawled by a child, while this painting is a masterpiece, but it's the same island. Which means either Bob has been there, or he has a least heard tales of it and drew on those tales for inspiration.

Zale follows the first mate back to the Kestrel. "Well, that was a waste of time," the genasi complains. His mood is lifted when he finds the captain and the deck hands carousing on the ship.

Trying to absorb himself in his work on Nela's miniatures the carousing on deck keeps pulling his attention away. After ruining another delicate table leg Pelner gives up and puts his tools away and ventures topside. Oh, this looks like fun! he says to no-one inparticular and snags a mug as they are being passed around.

Grog decides to settle somewhere around the main deck and just hum a very, VERY out of tune... tune.

Zale distributes round after round of his special distillations. Then, the genasi busts out some killer dance moves on the main deck.

All hands are back on the Kestrel, and then some. Joining the party are Jineer's guests (the Fyre girls) and Phillip's guests (the elderly halfling bounty hunters, Charlie and Sally Forth). Valrakas seems to be in a good mood, breakdancing on the deck, wowing everyone with a radical headspin on the point of one horn.
