Margot hangs back a bit, enchanting herself with true strike before going on the offensive!

16 - The skeletons in the doorway swing at Eshe and Pong with their rusty blades. Both of them miss their targets.

13 - Pong swings once more and misses again.

10 - Margot stands back and casts a spell to increase her accuracy.

9 - Lucan launches a bolt of fire at a skeleton and barely singes it.

8 - Chulainn fires an arrow at skeleton 2 and strikes it in the chest.

1 - Eshe swings at the skeleton that attacked her and shatters it, sending splinters of bone flying about.

Chulainn goes again for the headshot. The archer rears back, drawing his longbow to its maximum. He closes one eye, narrowing his gaze to the spooky figure ahead and releases.

Pong is sensing a pattern: he swings and misses, Eshe slays. As she destroys yet another skeleton in the doorway, he holds his attack until another steps through.

20 - Chulainn releases the arrow he's got nocked and it slams into the center of the skeleton's forehead, shattering the skull with ease.

20 - Lucan's launches his firebolt and narrowly misses his target.

16 - Eshe swings her axe and the skeleton in front of her is shattered by the force of the impact.

11 - Margot throws a dagger at a skeleton and it sticks in the ribcage of the undead creature.

6 - The skeletons, unbothered by the loss of so many of their own, continue their attacks. They both miss their attacks against Pong and Eshe who are blocking the doorway.

4 - Pong swings his flail and destroys another of the skeletons.

Suddenly, a hidden door opens on the east side of the room. A hunched corpse wearing a pointed hat and dressed in a robe embroidered with mystic symbols crosses through the hidden door. Thin wisps of beard float from its bony jaw. It raises a finger, tracing arcane symbols in the air. In a hoarse voice, it speaks: "Secrets found and lost then found again. Your paltry minds cannot fathom …"

The skeleton pulls to vials of acid off of a decaying belt and throws them at those in the doorway. One vial misses Pong, but Eshe takes a direct hit (16 vs AC. Damage: 2 Acid)

Chulainn hears the speech of the alchemist and sees the liquid splash onto the barbarian. He moves just behind Eshe to get an angle on the acid throwing skeleton, draws his bow, and fires. Fathom this.

23 - Chulainn steps up to get a better angle and fires an arrow at the alchemist. It shatters on the chest of the skeleton and staggers it back a step.

22 - Margot tells her joke, but the alchemist doesn't find it funny and ignores her.

19 - Lucan launches a bolt of fire at the alchemist, scorching the chest and burning a hole in the fine robes it wears.

18 - The alchemist launches a couple more vials of acid at Eshe and Pong before falling back into the hidden room. Both of the vials miss their targets.

16 - Eshe swings her axe, but misses by a long shot.

14 - The remaining skeleton slashes at Eshe and cuts a wide gash in her cheek (20 vs AC. Damage: 4)

2 - Pong winds up his flail and swings it at the skeleton, shattering its skull into a million pieces.

Eshe looks a little wobbly on her feet but nonetheless rushes in the other room after the skeleton alchemist, snarling like an animal. She takes a desperate swing at it with her greataxe.
