Hunter rolls her eyes at the interplay. While the two males exchange pleasantries, she looks to see if anything can be salvaged from the fallen priestesses and warriors.

An imaginary candle flame flickers to life above Hunter's head, and she quickly discards her current task to check on the fallen Eldeth. She tries to stabilize the dwarf if she can.

"How about no weapons?" Mai'ngor waves Sinag's bright blade in front of the drow's face. "It wouldn't do to have you say you lost because of an unfair advantage."

4 hand crossbows
36 bolts

Hunter bends down to check on Eldeth and sees her draw her last breath. The valiant dwarf died fighting a powerful, and evil, foe and you can see a slight smile on her face.

"Bah! You talk too much, drow!" Mai'ngor lays a backhanded slap across Jorlan's scarred face, then pushes him onto his knees and lays Sinag's blade across the back of his neck. "I'll not waste any more time on your yammering." The tikbalang turns to the others, "Shall I slay him or will someone else do it? I'll not have this one running back to Menzoberranzan and coming after us with a hunting party."

Jorlan accepts the stinging slap and shove to his knees, smiling maniacally as the blade is laid against the back of his neck.

Soliin goes around grabbing the various discarded weapons, to move them as far from the drow as possible, grabbing Ilvara's whip as well. "Can we have them pretend to be furniture? I'd like that..."

All of a sudden, Soliin looks around. He finally finds what he's looking for, seeing Eldeth on the ground. He dashes over, dropping the weapons at his feet just as he does. He feels around for a pulse. Finding none, he looks down at the fallen ally, sullen for a moment, before looking up Jorlan with a code stare. He quickly grabs one of the daggers in the pile and flings it at Jorlan.

Yes, using inspiration, because it's in character.

As Soliin nears Ilvara's whip it snaps at him, causing him to leap back out of range.

"Burn it," Sarith says from off to the side, "It was tuned to Ilvara and won't allow another wielder."

"I'll do it!" Elfog grimly answers Mai'ngor's query. Drawing his sword as he approaches the downed Drow he pauses and looks over at Eldeth. "She was too good to die to the likes of you."
OOC:
Unless someone steps in to stop him, Elfog is going to brutally slaughter Jorlan.

Soliin's dagger flies in and sticks hard into Jorlan's belly, doubling him over in pain. Moments later Elfog approaches and kills him.

Inspiration for Elfog and for Soliin

After using the dead Drow's clothing to clean the blood from his sword, Elfog gives Soliin a nod. "Good on ya, Halfling!" he says in Soliin's native tongue before stepping away from what remains of Jorlan.

"Now to give that coward Sarith a beating!" he growls, but before he can even turn to face the coward, Elfog drops to one knee. His rage has run its course and the wounds he received from the wizard are making themselves felt.
OOC:
Elfog is at 10/35 HP

The blood is mostly forgotten for Hunter. She stands from where Eldeth lies and leaves the armor and weapons in a pile. Ilvara's coin purse is absently slipped into her robes while the rest of the money remains on the ground.

Stool, it is safe to come out, she thinks, watching the direction the myconid was hidden.

"Sarith, your warning is appreciated," Hunter says aloud, her words sweet, "and your scouting of the approaching war party was fortunate. For those actions, you have my thanks." Her eyes narrow in the darkness as a bit of heat begins to build behind them, though her tone remains the same. "Perhaps it was folly to stand our ground, but I'm sure you now recognize how much sticking together as a group means for our collective survival, and how much we can accomplish when we do so. I hope the next time we're in a similar situation, you would find yourself contributing a bit more."
Mar 7, 2016 11:46 pm
Soliin looks over the swords Jorlan formerly held, to see if they're of better quality than his, swapping if so. Steely eyed, he walks over to Jorlan's body, searching it for anything hidden on it. Any trinkets he may have, he doesn't deserve.

"We should move; there may be more. Split the gold, take any gear you may want, and let us be gone."
Mar 8, 2016 9:58 am
Mai'ngor steps over Jorlan's corpse and starts the group off continuing on their way. He is glad Elfog and Soliin stepped in to execute Jorlan. It isn't that he doesn't have the stomach for it, it's just that he would have much preferred a fight to the death than an execution. Mai'ngor shrugs. In the end, it matters little to him. He has avenged himself on Ilvara.

As for the fallen dwarf, warriors fall in battle. And that is that.

Suddenly Mai'ngor stops short and stares at Soliin who is inspecting Jorlan's weapons. How? Mai'ngor had disarmed Jorlan just moments ago and he had not handed the swords to the halfling. The tikbalang cannot suppress a chuckle and a grin as he walks up to the halfling. "Well played, thief. I knew you had talent! So, have you found anything interesting?"
Mar 8, 2016 12:28 pm
Startled, Soliin drops Jorlan's weapons. He looks a bit shaken for the first time since their escape. "I'm... I'm not sure, you're welcome to look," he says, tossing the blades at Mai'ngor's feet.
Mar 8, 2016 12:53 pm
Mai'ngor chuckles again. "Let's look together." He holds up one of the weapons "What do you make of this?"
OOC:
What have we found? Anything look good? Do I/we need to roll anything?
Mar 8, 2016 3:19 pm
Mai'ngor and Soliin inspect the weapons but, aside from the obviously fine make they don't appear magical.

Mai'ngor shrugs. "Keep them, if you want. Or the dwarf may want one. They may serve better than the ones we filched from the guard tower."
