Now Mai’ngor summons Sinag's blade and the kris joins the war dance. The tikbalang brings the sunblade arcing down in a two-handed slash across the gnoll's torso.

Even over the other sounds of battle Elfog can make out the sounds of other gnolls approaching. "Time to end this!" he growls as he brings around Tolvihar with a backhand swing aiming to bisect his opponent.
OOC:

Elfog's next attack catches the gnoll right in the chest (13 damage), taking it down permanently.

Sinag strikes the gnoll across the stomach (14 damage)

Sarith's crossbow clicks and sends a bolt flying into the neck of the last standing gnoll (6 damage). It goes down, choking on its own blood.

Moments later, another group on gnolls rounds the corner. The leader, obvious by his better equipment and also by the fact that he's giving orders, shouts for a charge, screams something about Yeenoghu, and rushes forward.
OOC:
Gnolls win initiative

GB = Gnoll Bow (there are 3)
G = Gnoll (1)
GL = Gnoll Leader (1)
Three gnolls set up in the back with bows and fire on the party.

GB1 and GB2 fire on Elfog, but once again he proves impervious to the attacks of lowly gnolls.

GB3 fires on Mai'ngor and the tikbalang barely manages to get out of the way and the arrow slices across the side of his chest (5 damage).

GL rushes forward, but is slowed down by the growth that Xeliss summoned and can't quite make it to Elfog.

G1 rushes in toward Mai'ngor, but has the same issue and can't quite make it.

The bow-using gnolls are about 40 feet away down the tunnel. The melee gnolls are about 15 feet away from the party.
OOC:
Party Turn!

I shift into the form of a spider, crawling along the wall until I'm within close range of the archers. Then, I wait.
Apr 22, 2016 3:42 pm
Mi'ngor charges forward and takes on the leader. He attempts to knock it down to the ground with his hooves, then brings both word down on its slobbering face.
OOC:
-I'm hoping that if I move diagonally I'll have enough room for a Trampling Charge (needs a 20ft straight line, DC 11 STR save or be knocked prone). If this is not possible then just ignore the hoof attack and use my action for the Shove.
-Action Surge for the sword attack.
-Bonus action for off-hand attack.

Hunter remains crouched, hoping for some cover as she continues to fling rocks at archers. She focuses on GB1 and with a subtle gesture sends a small stone at it.
OOC:
Casting Catapult on GB1 at level 1. 5-pound rock, 3d8 bludgeoning if it fails its Dex save.

Rolls

Wild Magic Surge - (1d20)

(5) = 5

Apr 22, 2016 5:18 pm
Mai'ngor crosses the patch of vines to confront the leader. He leads with an attack with his hooves, which misses, then launches into a dizzying flurry of blows. Despite the ferocity and skill of the mighty tikbalang warrior, the gnoll is easily up to the task and deflects every blow with contemptuous ease.

Hunter's flung rock goes wide of the mark, and you can hear it strike the cavern wall further down the tunnel.
OOC:
All of the enemies are currently unharmed.

Elfog, Soliin, and the NPCs still have their rounds.
Apr 22, 2016 9:39 pm
Roughly removing his axe from his fallen opponent's chest Elfog simply ignores the archers' projectiles as he focus in on the obvious leader of the group. Working himself into a frenzy the raging barbarian charges into the vines screaming dwarven curses at the top of his lungs. Swinging Tolvihar from over his right shoulder he aims for the gnoll's thigh, hoping to cut the beast's leg clean off.
OOC:
Raging, Reckless Attack, Frenzy (for the duration of his rage he can make a bonus attack - starting next turn - will suffer one level of exhaustion afterwards).

1d20+7 : (15) + 7 = 22

1d20+7 : (9) + 7 = 16

1d12+7 : (10) + 7 = 17

Apr 26, 2016 12:54 pm
Elfog steps up and hits the gnoll leader right in the hip with Tolvihar (17 damage). The gnoll howls in pain but manages to stay on his feet, though he seems to be a bit slower than he used to be.
OOC:
Gonna give Soliin a couple more hours to post, then I'll take his turn for him.
Apr 26, 2016 1:23 pm
Seeing his compatriots handling the current group of gnolls, Soliin tosses a bag of caltops over their heads, in the direction of the incoming gnolls, hoping to slow them down. "We can't stand around hacking gnolls all day!" he says, dropping into the darkness.
OOC:
Sorry, thought I had posted. Can I toss the bag of caltops? Or does it only work if placed? Halfings are good at throwing things right...?

Rolls

Hide in the darkness - (1d20+8)

(6) + 8 = 14

Apr 26, 2016 1:57 pm
OOC:
The only way to throw the bag and have any effect would be to open it first, which would probably drop caltrops among your group as well as it flew over. Do you still want to do it?
Apr 27, 2016 1:17 pm
Soliin tosses the bag of caltrops and about halfway through its arc it opens up, dropping caltrops all over the ground between the two groups of gnolls.

Sarith takes careful aim and launches a crossbow bolt at the gnoll leader, but misses and the bolt clatters down the hallway harmlessly.

GB1 fires an arrow at Elfog. Distracted as he is, the arrow slips through his defenses and hits him in the hip (8 damage).

GB2 fires at Mai'ngor and the shot grazes his cheek (4 damage).

GL launches into a flurry of attacks with his glaive, stealing the offensive from Mai'ngor. He scores two stinging hits on the tikbalang (5 and 9 damage). He shouts to his companion who lunges at Elfog, teeth bared and bites into his shoulder a bit before he bounces off, unable to get a solid hold on the armor (6 damage).

G1 takes a stab at Elfog, seeing that his bite failed to grab hold, but misses badly.
OOC:

GL has taken 17 damage
G1, GB1, and GB2 are unharmed

Player Turn!
Apr 27, 2016 3:04 pm
As much as she would like to get rid of the archers, Hunter recognizes Mai'ngor's plan to take out the gnoll leader. She mutters a word and flicks her wrist, throwing three Magic Missiles at it.

Seeing my opportunity, I dash in front of the archers, reverting back to my usual form, and unleash a wave of thunderous force in an attempt to push them back.
OOC:
Casting Thunderwave

Rolls

Apr 27, 2016 3:54 pm
Bolts of energy fly out from Hunter's hand, slamming into the chest of the gnoll leader (12 damage).

The gnoll archers are caught totally by surprise as a tiny spider shifts into a slightly larger gnome. With a clap she sends out a wave of thunderous energy, slamming into them and they go skidding backwards from the force of the attack (10 damage each).
OOC:
GB1 and GB2 have taken 10 damage and are pushed back 10 feet
GL has taken a total of 29 damage and looks to be feeling pretty rough
G1 is still unharmed

Soliin, Elfog and Mai'ngor still have an action
Apr 27, 2016 4:01 pm
Mai'ngor continues his assault on the gnoll leader. As the creature tags him with its glaive the tikbalang comes over the top with his blades.

Rolls

Sinag attack, damage - (1d20+7, 1d8+7)

1d20+7 : (12) + 7 = 19

1d8+7 : (5) + 7 = 12

1d20+5 : (5) + 5 = 10

1d6+5 : (2) + 5 = 7

Apr 27, 2016 4:46 pm

Apr 27, 2016 4:57 pm
The gnoll leader and Mai'ngor are a blur of motion as they fight, trading blows almost too quickly to follow. The tribal warrior manages to slip Sinag through his defenses and blood sprays forth as his draws a deep gash on his chest (12 damage).

Soliin slips forward through his companions and launches one bolt and then another without pause. The first bolt slips through and hits the gnoll right in the throat (17 damage). The second bolt strikes in the chest, but the creature is already dead.
OOC:
GB1 and GB2 have taken 10 damage and are pushed back 10 feet
GL is dead
G1 is still unharmed
Apr 28, 2016 12:23 am
Shrugging off the damage from multiple opponents Elfog lifts Tolvihar over his shoulder and sets his glare upon the Gnoll who bit him.

"Have to gnaw a little harder than that."

Taking a step forward he brings his great axe down, aiming for the creature's heart. He'll then remove rip Tolvihar from the Gnoll's chest and swing left to right, looking to connect just above the waist.
OOC:
First attack is Reckless, Second if Frenzy attack
