The four men leave the house of Mrs Bellweather and head towards the town proper. Walking over the Cobb Bridge and onto Gismend Road, the rain begins to get lighter though the unusual clouds continue to boil overhead, almost developing some degree of churning solidity. Cobb's Corner is no longer the quiet rural town you once knew but now feels like a warzone. You see a number of buildings on fire and the streets are littered with corpses. Occaisionally you spot small groups of children running through the streets, each clutching various knives and sharp farm implements. From a nearby street comes a bellowing and hooting sound which is answered by further, distant hoots from across town.
Keeping out of site of the gangs as best you can, you reach the first notable building, Jim's Grill.

"Jesus, Mary!" Taffy mutters with wide eyes as he surveys the carnage. Keeping his revolver drawn, he pushes the door open to Jim's Grill.

You notice the front windows of the restaurant has had all its windows broken.Taffy pushes open the door carefully

and the customer area has been trashed. Napkin holders, ketchup bottles, plates and coffee cups are smashed all over the place but there are no bodies here. From the kitchen behind the counter, there comes the smell of cooking or burning. Taffy here's Mathis outside suggesting working towards the Town Hall.

Taffy pauses at the opening and looks back at the others. He makes a 'V' with his index and middle fingers, points at his eyes, and then back into the restaurant in an attempt to convey his intentions of moving in further. He tiptoes inside, revolver drawn, and makes toward the kitchen to investigate the burning smell.

Stumbling out the entrance of the restaurant, Taffy shakes his head miserably at the others, indicating that there's nothing further to be gained in there.
