""Watch the Fire!" Feng runs straight for Iko, yanking out the flaming dagger immediately, believing the wound will cauterize immediately. Twirling it through her fingers for a brief second she hops back a few feet, flinging it at the snake.
OOC:
Does Iko's damage cover the complication then?

The female yells again as she frantically stabs behind her with her daggers, trying to pull free.
OOC:
if it cones to it... Hua’s gonna dramatically cut off her braid XD

OOC:
Yes, Feng, the wound dealt to Iko was your complication.

Iko's 9 was a success with complication, while Rong Hua's 4 is utter failure with dire consequences. I will finish this up cinematically rather keep grinding out combat rounds.
Atekhramun believed he could squash anyone like a bug, but he's never met anyone like the people he is facing now. Where the hell did they come from, and what do they want? Clearly, drugging the female was a mistake. But there seems to be more to it than that!

Meng's strike sends a shock through the serpent's vitals as Wei's razor-sharp sword opens up its belly, spilling its guts just as Feng's fiery dagger takes it in the throat. The thing collapses into a seething mass of bugs, worms, and insects that engulfs Rong Hua, stinging and biting, before scattering in every direction, making good Atekhramun's escape. The sorcerer's voice floats in the air, dripping malice,

"π”œπ”¬π”² π”₯π”žπ”³π”’π”«'𝔱 𝔰𝔒𝔒𝔫 𝔱π”₯𝔒 π”©π”žπ”°π”± 𝔬𝔣 π”ͺ𝔒. π”šπ”₯𝔒𝔫 𝔫𝔒𝔡𝔱 𝔴𝔒 π”ͺ𝔒𝔒𝔱, β„‘'𝔩𝔩 π”’π”žπ”± 𝔢𝔬𝔲𝔯 𝔰𝔬𝔲𝔩𝔰!!!"
OOC:
Mark 1 XP, Rong Hua, and take the Sick debility (your CON score has dropped to 8, meaning your max HP is now 14, and all CON-related tasks are at -1).
The immediate threat appears to be over, but there's something wrong with Rong Hua. The fight in the square has scattered people, animals and goods. The gate guards have their hands full trying to restore order. The girl Shen Xin sent you here to rescue has yet to be found.

What do you do?

Coward.

Feng throws her remaining dagger near Rong Hua, trying to scare away some of the creepy crawly bugs. The smell of ash has left her. "What the hell did you do?" She calls out to Hua, approaching the girl to help her up and wipe off the remaining bugs.

Wei rushes over to Hua and starts brushing off the bugs. Carefully holding her Wei looks at her nd waits for her to wake up.

Wu Meng watched the sorceror disappear, but it was impossible to give chase. Feng and Wei had dashed in to aid Rong Hua, so Meng looked further in for signs of Mei.
OOC:
Wasn't there a motionless person at the back of the cage which Atekhramun was trying to shove Hua into?

OOC:
Yes, there was. Still there. The missing girl's name is Mei. Shen Xin is the one who sent you.
Aug 20, 2019 6:33 am
OOC:
Eek, I meant Mei!
Wu Meng went to the cage near the back, to see if Mei was there. Or in any case, he wanted to see who or what was the person inside it, and if he or she needed assistance.

Zhang Wei
holding your beloved tenderly in your arms, you find something stuck in her braid: a ring roughly cut from black stone. You're guessing it came off Atekhramun's finger when he and Rong Hua were tussling.

Meng
Based on the description given you by Shen Xin, the person in the cage is indeed Mei. You easily rouse both her and Rong Hua, though both women are weak from their ordeal. Mei can hardly speak, but manages to gasp, "More... inside..." while pointing wearily at the tent. Could there be more captives? Glancing inside, you don't see any more cages. There are, however, several expensive-looking chests and trunks. You have rescued Mei from a life of slavery in Hiptos; now you can return her to her life of slavery here in the Opal City. The irony of this is not lost on you.

What do you do (all of you)?

OOC:
srry jabes, i actually hv a copy of my char sheet in my phone notes which i update rather than the gp one, as it is easier. I plan to update the gp one everytime i rank up or skill up or stuff though. So my hp’s now 11, including my most recent -1
Ow... what happened...?
The female groaned as he eyes opened.
I feel... sick.
She then said bluntly as she gagged abit, covering her mouth.
Aug 21, 2019 3:56 am
Wu Meng assisted both women to a more comfortable position. They'll need medical attention. The others were just outside, and will be entering to assist. Prompted by Mei, he moved further into the tent, examining the chests and trunks, and also if Atekhramun had left behind other things. Information is worth more than gold.

"What happened is an asshole of a sorcerer picked the wrong fight and turned tail." Feng crosses her arms, like a mother scolding her kids. "You should've waited for us to back you up, we've already dealt with far too much trouble in one day." She turns a head to their elvish stalker. "Some of it still follows in fact. Wei attend to her, tell me if I'm needed." She approaches Dae-Won, looking mildly relieved he is alive. "I dare say your life expectancy will rise if you leave us to our work."
Aug 21, 2019 11:44 am
Despite his own wounds needing attention, Wei still holds Rong Hua. Carefully wiping the bugs and other creatures from her face Wei checks her other wounds.
Aug 21, 2019 2:04 pm
"We've done nothing to hinder you!" Sungyeol retorts. "My brother took a knife wound defending you and your friends, and I helped fight that snake!"

The trunks contain ostentatious clothing and several bolts of silk. In one of the chests, Meng finds 250 coins. Another chest contains two spell scrolls, and a wooden flute engraved on which Meng is shocked to find the mark of Shifu Rao, Master of Wind!

Iko approaches Zhang Wei and Rong Hua, not caring enough to brush the few odd insects from himself. He examines her to the best of his ability to see if there is anything he could do to help her.
OOC:
What would be the roll for healing someone, or diagnosing an illness?
Aug 21, 2019 4:53 pm
"I am aware of such developments. I am simply looking out for your well-being." Feng's voice feels particularly dry with that last sentence. Deciding further discussion is pointless, Feng walks past them, her eyes roll after she turns her back.

Maybe Meng has dug up something of value. Pushing open a tent flap she goes after the monk, finding him looting the place. "Anything good?"
Aug 21, 2019 6:23 pm
OOC:
Iko, a Discern Realities would cover it, I think.
Aug 21, 2019 6:42 pm
OOC:
Okay, sounds good.

Rolls

Discern Reality +WIS - (2d6+2)

(56) + 2 = 13

Aug 21, 2019 8:13 pm
Iko examines Rong Hua's wounds. They are superficial, requiring nothing more than cleaning and bandaging. He judges the sickness wrought by the poison smoke and insect bites should pass after a good night's rest.
OOC:
Oops, I'm sorry, I misread your question. Discern Realities for assessing someone's wounds or diagnosing a disease. To heal someone's wounds will require the use of a healing spell, bandages, poultices & herbs, a healing potion, or just plain old rest. A debility may in some cases require more.

Iko: 18/23
Xian Feng: 12/17hp
Wu Meng: 21/21hp
Zhang Wei: 17/25hp
Zuang Rong Hua: 13/15, Sick
The guards are gradually restoring order, and will soon make their way to Atekhramun's tent. It is now the Hour of the Rat. What do you do?
