"Check the prisoners." Hollow moves to the southern doors, standing clear of them if they were to burst open. She listens intently for sounds of approaching Redbrands...or any other type of enemy.
OOC:
I'm looking at the square directly behind the skeleton that was on the right. There is a space that looks like it is open for someone to stand and they would be behind a door if it opened into the room.

Wish looks longingly at the sarcophagi, wondering if the Tresendar family had put anything valuable with their dead, but then he joins Kama at the doors, ready to jump through and attack any redbrand guards.

Hollow listens at the double doors to the south but can't hear anything on the other side.

Kama and Wish approach the prison door and check the handle to find out that it's not locked.

Wasn't sure if you wanted to open it yet or wait until everyone is in position.

Kama pushes (or pulls) the door open, but does not step through. He takes a moment to open his senses to the room beyond for any movement, any shadow, any scent.

As Wish steps through the door he is met by flashing steel as a man steps out from each side of the door with swords drawn. Wish masterfully parries the blow from the thug to his left, but the one on the right scores a solid his, drawing a gash on Wish's ribs (7 Damage).

"Atta boy!" praises Kama (a touch sarcastically) as he follows the genasi and brings his maul in a diagonally-overhead swing for Redbrand1, the one who drew Wish's blood.

Wish shifts into the room to allow room for Kama and the others and attacks Ruffian #1.
OOC:
Mechanically, I use the Cunning Action to Disengage, then my move to move further into the room while still adjacent to Ruffian #1 - but no longer adjacent to ruffian #2 - and commence my attack with both Kama and I engaged with that target, so that my Sneak Attack dice will be added if I hit.

Kama moves forward to shield Wish and his Maul crushes Ruffian 1's arm and then Wish slides out of Ruffian 2's reach and out of danger. He thrusts his blade and easily finds the thugs heart, dropping him dead to the floor.

Hollow's magical attack hits the thug right in the chest, leaving his gasping for air. After a moment he attempts to straighten up and stand his ground, "You can't have the prisoners! Glasstaff will take care of you!"

I take aim. "Free them now, or you die." If he shows any signs of standing down, I will consider pausing my attack. If not, I'll just shoot him dead.

The thug snarls at you and raises his sword to attack but he doesn't get far as Xora's arrow catches him in the throat. He falls to the floor and bleeds to death. Now that the threats are gone you have a chance to look around. This long room is partitioned into three areas, with iron bars walling off the north and south. Filthy straw lines the floors of those cells, the hinged doors of which are secured by chains and padlocks. A pair of disheveled human women are held in the cell to the south, while a human boy is confined to the north. All are dressed in plain gray tunics and have iron collars fitted around their necks. A heap of discarded clothing is piled carelessly against the far wall. The prisoners, especially the boy, are cowering in the corner of their cells.

Kama searches the body of Redbrand2, since it lies at his feet. He is looking specifically for a key or keys, presumably to remove those iron collars and unlock the doors to the cells.

Hollow searches Ruffian1 for keys specifically, but places any valuables in plain sight of the group. She is trying very hard to not look at the prisoners though.

Kama finds the key hanging from Redbrand2's belt.

Xora approaches the cage and the people inside pull away for a moment before they really listen to her words. They calm down a little bit and you can tell they are a bit scuffed up, but otherwise unharmed.

Kama takes the key and rises. He approaches the north door and tries to fit the key in the lock, testing whether it fits and will open the cell doors.

"My name is Kama," he says as he works, hoping to put the captives more at ease. "We're taking down the Redbrands and have already arrested their leader. Let's get you out of here and back to town."
