Rolls

2 Success

Total: 2 Success

"Well I guess that's something... Odd request could you activate your lightsaber so we know you're force sensitive?" Heyop remarks to Joka while everyone takes a breather so to speak himself included.

Cool Check simple

2 Success, 2 Advantage

Total: 2 Success, 2 Advantage

After taking a holo of the site and marking the coordinates of the strange site in the the foothills, he takes a wide detour around the site and keeps moving. Marc wonders what would cause such an unusual sight, a large swath of trees clearcut from something -- but only the top halves... and there's the smoking crater nearby.... He figures it must have been ship or part of a ship that crash into the area. No telling what kind of radiation could be leaking around here, he makes sure that he stays upwind as he gives the place a wide berth and continues to where he hopes to meet Hethan Romund.

OOC:
Just so you know, Marc isn't really a huggable character. I'm not just talking about his personality.

Turning to Heyop, Joka raises his eyebrows. "One doesn't need to be force sensitive to hit an activator switch." He ignites his saber and a glowing blue blade springs to life. "But, I'm happy to do so for you."

He then shuts off his blade and uses the force to make the hilt hover in the air over his hand. "If you want proof I didn't steal the thing, this should suffice, I hope." He smiles at Heyop with an honest and genuine openness.
OOC:
I didn't roll a force die for that little stunt (just flavor) but if you wish me to roll it out I'm happy to do so.
Feb 5, 2017 4:23 pm
Heyop nods, "One doesn't need to have altruistic morales to be a Jedi. I don't really know you or your background. Regardless of if you've been abducted and watched your family die by the hands of your captor, or you're on the run from the imperials, you cut open doors with your light saber. Or shine a spotlight on us so to speak for the empire to be breathing down my next I can't judge. I'm not the one figuring out how you become what you want to be really... As long as you're not trying to get us killed purposely and you're trying to help people I guess I'll just have to have faith." he comments rotating one shoulder before he pops and he grunts a sour look on his face. "If you're looking for enlightenment and possible answers we know a place that might help... I can't guarantee though being around us isn't going to eventually get you killed though." Heyop warns.

Once Csillag has done what she can he'll move to investigate the crash site trying to move through cover and take higher ground to assess and hide if an aerial presence shows up.

Pulling her medical kit from her pack as she approaches Heyop, Csillag lays a hand on his shoulder to check his wounds.

"Doesn't look all that bad. Just hold still"
OOC:
Medicine Check - Heals +1 Wound with Surgeon Talent and +2 Strain with Physician Talent.
I don't know how wounded Heyop is, I'll make an Average check. Adjust as needed.

Rolls

Medicine Check

4 Success, 1 Failure, 2 Threat

Total: 3 Success, 2 Threat

Feb 5, 2017 6:08 pm
OOC:
I'm at 7/14 so via the Med check table half or less is Easy actually. Full up on strain since I rested.
Feb 5, 2017 6:10 pm
OOC:
Does that mean that she sewed up his wounds but left a needle, scalpel, some kind of small medical instrument inside?
Feb 5, 2017 8:33 pm
OOC:
Depends on which die gets pulled from the roll but threat generated and I guess failures off the net result would give the target strain/wounds. If we go with the roll, 3+1 Wounds healed. -2 Strain +2 Strain healed. Flavorwise, maybe treatment starts aggrevating old scar tissue but she works around it. So it is possible to take someone out with Medicine I think, through friendly fire while trying to help.

OOC:
I see. I no longer trust her, please watch her closely if she ever has to operate on me, and count the tools before she starts and AFTER she's done :) "Csillag: has anyone seen my chrono? I can hear a calendar reminder beeping on it, but it's not on my wrist anymore... Seems to be coming from somewhere close by, like inside Remnant's chest...."

This reminds me of back when we were playing EQ. You were leveling up your Monk, and you kept practicing Mend Wounds, because it had to be skilled up. It could heal something like 75% of your health back, don't remember what the cooldown was. Anyway, there you are at half health, you hit Mend Wounds.... and it critically fumbles. System message, you killed yourself with Mend Wounds. Epic.

Dice will roll how they roll, for those who can't figure out the thread Abelsbrother and I are close friends almost siblings. I did kill myself with mend wounds but I also leveled my skill, pass or fail doesn't count for leveling skills in EQ just doing it.

Note - when you heal strain, adv and succ will help (no reason for that not to be the case). I also permit stims to heal strain with the same rules as wounds. This is counter to RAW, but I think given the way the dice behave, there's a significant risk of everyone passing out all the time. ;)

On levitating the saber: Yah -- flavor stuff I'm not going to be too evil about, tbqh. Especially with 'move' which I think should have the flavor of the movies rather than having to roll a force die and maybe fail.

On Csillag's roll: I tend to remove the last die -- so there's just the one threat from the dice that Csillag rolled. Net result is 4 success and 1 threat.

Csillag manages to aid Heyop a bit with her kit while the team takes a bit of a breather and quizzes their new... colleague. Further into the mountains, Marc moves along a path towards the mountain before him. He next finds himself in a strange ruin. Stonework -- columns and rainwashed statuary are easily visible. There's little to see here other than overgrown stones and so he continues onwards crossing another bridge. The small village Marc saw remains ahead, while the path pulls off to the left towards the base of the mountain. From this vantage point, Marc can see some kind of temple up in the mountain. The path heads up to it following several tight switchbacks.

Feeling a bit better although a little tense from the process Heyop opts to move towards the perimeter of crash site to get a vantage as to what he's looking at.
OOC:
Let me know if you want a perception, stealth, etc. check.
Feb 6, 2017 10:42 pm
Csillag will go along with Heyop, staying several paces back just to keep an eye on things.
