"Next trip to an outfitter Dagger, normal weapon not a hate murder death feeling on a stick for the boy." Heyop barked as he moved around his attacker who seemed a bit dulled by the tip of his Trucheon. He felt compelled to help Urik and Csillag needed help also it seemed, he opted to try and focus on a solution that would help everyone at once since he seemed to be scrambling the least currently.

(OoC: Coruscant has one more round of Disorientation Rank 2 (2 Setback die) on him until it's done)

Csillag's eyes widen as she is disarmed by the wolf before her. As her holdout blaster is casually tossed aside by the beast, with a couple more scratches on it, she steps back and crouches straining to pick up Heyop's discarded blaster from the ground. The blaster in hand, she takes a quick shot at the icewolf before her.

Csillag voluntarily takes 2 strain to do an extra maneuver.

Csillag fires and a stun bolt fires out of Heyop's blaster and slams into the icewolf opposite. The wolf drops, unconscious, to the ground and the group now stands before three slavering ice wolves, which, in the grand scheme of things seems like a good thing minus the fact that Urik is bleeding from various places.

Kaveri's shot goes wide on the beast engaged with Urik, slamming harmlessly into the cave floor and kicking up dusts and some pebbles. The wolf yelps slightly and nimbly steps away from the disturbance, impeding its next assault on poor Urik. Kaveri's shot yields 3 advantage (how do you want to spend it?)

Dagger's vibroblade slashes into the wolf near him, lightly wounding the beast. Unfortunately, Dagger's ploy unsettles his footing just enough that he slips on the bone fragments piled around this part of the cave and he falls to the ground with an "Oomph!" and a gentle scattering of bones and dirt. Dagger's wolf would smile in anticipation, were it sentient.

Alas, poor Urik, (I knew him, Horatio...). Malefax's sword continues to thwart the youth's attempts to redeem it by serving a purpose of good and as he moves the sword, the wolf opposite him is able to dodge each and every strike. One the last swing, Urik stretches something in his side more than it wishes to be stretched -- and he suffers an additional strain.

Heyop moves in closer to the matron and lays his hands upon her wounded side. He concentrates and feels the Force flowing through him washing over the fur of the ice wolf and pushing away the dark side. His success is small, but much like moving a heavy object -- he senses forward progress.

Dagger's wolf moves in on the prone Twi'lek and takes advantage of the situation to land several bites and scratches. Dagger takes 7 wounds. Heyop's own wolf lunges on the attack, but Heyop manages to fend off the beast with his truncheon until it claws the weapon out of his hand -- it clatters to the floor and skitters about a meter away. Urik's beast senses opportunity and sneaks around Malefax's sword to land a few more bites and claws into the youth which is incredibly distracting. Urik suffers 5 wounds, and a setback die on his next action.

Urik: Now taken 9 wounds total. Setback die on next action.
Dagger: Taken 7 wounds total. Prone.
Heyop: Disarmed.
Csillag: Armed with Heyop's blaster (set to stun)
Kaveri: no special status to note.

Enemy status: all at engaged/short range.

Matron: Passed out.

Minions:
* Alderaan - knocked out.
* Bespin - engaged with Dagger
* Coruscant - engaged with Heyop
* Dagobah - dead.
* Endor - engaged with Urik

Note -- ranged attacks into Engaged/Melee upgrades the difficulty (one purple die turns into a red die). I won't fiddle with any ranged results at this time, but a rule that I just re-read and we should take into account in future rounds. Kaveri - you should note that firing is at Short range for you, so a single red die for any wolf engaged with a colleague. I ignored your second purple die (eliminating the 2 threat) since that wasn't necessary.

Csillag to act and then next round -- again you guys can pre-set (and Csillag if you post early, you can post two rounds. :))
Jan 3, 2016 5:19 am
Seeing that Dagger has been knocked prone and her own threat has been knocked out of the action Csillag will take aim and fire at Bespin.

GM Edit: Modified difficulty dice -- but same outcome! Weird.

Note from last turn: 1 Advantage to give a boost die to the next player, 2 advantage for a boost die for me.

Kaveri blinks a bit of dust from her eye, takes aim again at Endor, and fires.

(That's 10 damage to Endor - its fleas say "Yub Nub!" - and I'll use the 2 advantage to regain 2 strain)

Cursing under his breath Heyop watched the skirmish around him as his weapon was wrenched from his hands, "Dagger could use some help." he shot out focusing his mind...

I guess I could use a bit of help myself... this really isn't my thing. Heyop thought to himself as he tried to steady his breathing.

(OoC: Attempting the same thing, I'll use the boost die from Kaveri and flip a light side destiny point to upgrade a die.)

Edit: I'll take the strain, it is nice to get a Triumph when you need it though XD. Could I use it to force blast the wolves out of the darkside murder trance or is that too much?

Partial round update...

In an abundance of caution to not hit Dagger, Csillag's shot goes wide, missing the wolf standing over the prone Twi'lek. Nearby, Kaveri's shot is spot on and the wolf hounding Urik is blown backwards by her powerful blaster rifle. Heyop continues to concentrate on the matron calling the Force to his aid... He feels it working but knows he has more to do -- one person working against the dark side roiling in the matron is a long slog...

Two more player actions until the wolves -- note that Csillag can go again, there's no required order here.

Heyop -- that impact from the triumph is probably a little more than warrented from a single triumph. You could perhaps upgrade your next roll or I can provide a little boost to your outcome if you like. Whichever you prefer. Also note you do NOT take strain. A triumph is a success + advantage, so it cancels the threat and leaves you with 1 success.

Dagger, feeling his wounds burning tries to dig deep as he stands back up and swings at the wolf engaged with him with the vibroblade again. This could be going better, Dagger grunts under his breath, starting to rethink many of his actions so far.

OOC: Standing up and stabbing again. Is it still two difficulty at melee range? 2 Damage, and the Dagger is also Pierce 2.

Urik is hurt badly. He calls upon the power within him and attempts to leap over the wolf he is engaged with. His intent is to leap over the wolf and run toward one of his least injured companions (I'm thinking Kaveri).

Mechanically, I am making an athletics check to leap over the wolf, using my Force: Enhance ability to improve the leap, then taking 2 strain for an extra maneuver and using the resulting double maneuver to run toward Kaveri. This is assuming Kaveri is the closest ally and that the path to her is clear. If not, I choose the ally that best fits this description. Assuming 2 purple for the Athletics check, let me know if its more and I'll add rolls.

I'm unclear on this: if I use a force power like this, does a black count as as a Failure in terms of canceling out Successes? If so, this roll is a wash. If not, I make it.

(OoC: I'll go with the boost to the outcome. Maybe I know how well I'm doing % to completion or I suddenly realize this is a 2-4 person lift instead of giving myself a Force Hernia... It stands to reason I should probably get back to helping the group out I think Phantom forgot to blow on his dice this session.)

Dagger pokes the icewolf opposite him again, digging in through the deep fur and tough hide of the beast to aggravate it some more with a few more pokes and scratches. Its white fur is stained with red from the multiple small scratches and bites Dagger has managed to land, but it seems as if Dagger's efforts are just egging the beast on.

Urik calls on the Force -- but it remains beyond his touch. Nonetheless, he's able to circle around and leap over the wolf opposite him just as Kaveri's rifle takes the beast out. Urik's able to get himself into position with Kaveri between him and any of the wolves.

Two of the wild beasts remain standing and they push the assault. Heyop's foe has shaken off the impact from his truncheon and attacks. He manages to get ahold of Heyop's upper arm and thrashes about gnashing teeth and rending with claws. Heyop takes 5 wounds.

Dagger's wolf also leans in for an attack and it's not a good scene. The wolf overcomes poor Dagger who falls under the onslaught and stops moving.

Urik: Now taken 9 wounds total. Setback die on next action.
Dagger: Unconscious. Difficulty of all skill checks increased by 1 until the end of the encounter (kind of a wash). Target cannot perform a maneuver on his next turn (but is unconscious, so.. never mind).
Heyop: Takes 5 wounds.
Csillag: Armed with Heyop's blaster (set to stun)
Kaveri: no special status to note.

Enemy status: all at engaged/short range.

Matron: Passed out.

Minions:
* Alderaan - knocked out.
* Bespin - engaged with Dagger, standing over his unconscious form. Has boost on next action.
* Coruscant - engaged with Heyop
* Dagobah - dead.
* Endor - dead.

OOC: Wow. I rolled well, in the end, for the criticals on Dagger. :) Good thing the rolls weren't reversed.

(6) + 10 = 16

Ok - Csillag can/should go. Then we'll be into the next round. Szemely, you should post two actions back-to-back since Dagger is out for the count, the initiative slot after the wolves will get dropped - so you should act this round, and then act next round before the wolves.
Jan 7, 2016 3:48 pm
"Dagger! No!" Next round, Kaveri swings her gun around and takes aim at Bespin, trying to send it back to the clouds. She should probably be trying to use the Force to banish the Dark presence, but the hunter is too ingrained in her to do much else other than shoot these beasts.

12 damage and a triumph...how about: the remaining ice wolf is demoralized by the loss of its pack and suffers a penalty on any actions which keep it in combat?

Heyop snapped out of focus and ground his teeth trying to keep his footing as the wolf latched own jerking him about by the arm as it's teeth dug in. His free hand danced behind him pulling the holdout blaster from behind his back, "Dagger's down!" he barked before trying to shove the business end of the blaster against the wolf's shaking and twisting neck and pull the trigger.

Edit: 6 Damage to the neck, I'll take the threat as a point of strain from trying to get the shot off while he attempts to thrash and or drag me I figure.

1st Action: Csillag will once again take a shot at Bespin, taking a carefully aimed shot. "I have to get to Dagger"

2nd Action: Blaster in hand Csillag will run towards Dagger's position. If Bespin is still engaged with Dagger at this point she will do whatever she can to distract the animal in attempt to draw his attention away from Dagger. If the wolf is dead/unconscious she will immediately tend to Dagger.

If she can get to Dagger she will perform a Medicine check and gains 1 additional wound heal (Surgeon) and 1 strain (Physician).

OOC: Sorry - with Dagger down, it's just a single purple to hit the beast -- I think the upgraded die comes because of engagement - and people moving around one another. Kaveri - since you hit anyway and achieve your outcome, I'm not going to fuss -- and if I remove the red die from Csillag, she still misses with 1 advantage as the result.

Csillag's shot goes wide past the creature, but it's followed up by Kaveri's dead-eye and the wolf is pushed backwards by the hit, scattering bones and dirt as it falls well away from the unconscious Dagger. Heyop's shot ends the beast that had a hold of his left arm -- it's jaw slackens just enough for him to yank his arm out of its mouth as it sags to the ground, dead.

Around you, the matron and one other icewolf remain alive -- but unconcious.

Csillag scrambles over to Dagger and pulls out her medkit. Worried about her patient, she scratches herself on his discarded vibroblade and starts working on him. Though her efforts definitely seem to make the patient better -- he remains unconscious.

Csillag takes 3 strain. Dagger is at -1 Wounds from -3 due to the 1 success + Surgeon. Dagger recovers a strain as well. Dagger continues to have two critical wounds - one https://s3.amazonaws.com/forceanddestiny/FFG-purple.pnghttps://s3.amazonaws.com/forceanddestiny/FFG-purple.png and one https://s3.amazonaws.com/forceanddestiny/FFG-purple.png

Round-by-round action ends -- back to narrative time.
Jan 8, 2016 2:05 am
Eyes still a bit wild he picks up and stashed his weapons that have fallen in the heat of conflict as things settle. Switching his own pistol out with Csillag's his breathing still heavy. "He had stimpak on him, would it help... Is he?" Heyop asked his words trailing off realizing his cracking lips are dry, "Everyone groan if your still with us." he manages before stumbling slightly trying to clear the cobwebs in his head. Heyop will see how everyone is doing and if Dagger needs to be carried out, he'll let them know of the dark taint on the beasts ands that it was fading slightly but by himself in the middle of battle he didn't slog through much-needed alone.

OoC: Trying to get everyone's status and if we should move out of the area to recover before attempting to wipe out the darkness. He feels inclined to ask the Holocron for assistance but doesn't want to wake the wolves and start things all over again.

Kaveri goes over to observe what Csillag is doing. She's no good at healing herself, but she wants Dagger to pull through, and is willing to assist in any way she can.
