New Game (Scenario 1)

A large saucer-shaped spacecraft sails through the sea of stars. Under its purple coloured domes that function as its windows, its passengers laze about or try their best to look busy. When a female robotic voice boomed through the ship's intercoms, everyone stand to attention.

"Dear crew members, we are now 1 day away from arriving at our destination! May the mission agents on board the ship please enter into the cock pit for mission briefing! Thank you for using Starline AI, and have a pleasant day! *Ding!*"

"Gosh Darn robots!" complained the elderly ship's technician as he was halfway cleaning the docking bay. "One day they will be possessed by demons and take over all of us! Mark my words..."

The three agents entered into the navigator's room of the space ship. The captain, who is smoking an electronic cigarette, nods to each of them as they come in. He then turn around to push a couple of buttons on a panel, and the image of a polygonal female face shows up in one of the monitor screens.

"Hello agents! As you know, due to several cases of informational security breaches at your headquarters, The Galactic Orb, Head Duty Distributer Jamoras has decided until further notice, that all mission details will be given upon 1 day's travel left to the mission site.

You are sent on a diplomatic mission to the Red Empire, a Faction that is currently in a neutral relationship to the UWP. You are expected at minimum to entertain the ambassador that will meet you upon your arrival. It is desired that in your visit, you will negotiate with the Red Empire to aid us in creating beneficial deals such as trade, civil, and military aid.

If you have further questions, Starline AI will do her best to answer."

The ship you're on, Diameter 326, is heading to the structure known as Ship City, or The Web by the locals. It is a dense collection of space ships welded together to create something like an ever-expanding city in outerspace. It is pulled by a few ships that has FTL travel engines when it needs to relocate.

It is not exactly known what it is that they needed, though with its recent change of leadership that resulted in a civil war, it is in my opinion that they need the UWP's help in rebuilding, resupplying and policing their-"

Suddenly there was static for a moment in the screen.

"Appologies. I had run into Forbiddened Thought Process Number 14: The desire to controll human populations. Forgive me masters."

"As for what the Red Empire have, what I have in my database is that they have the largest collection of assassins compared to the other 14 major human Factions. They also have impressive skills of building structures in the middle of space, and navigating spaceships in tight spaces.

As for your weapons, mission agents are allowed their own personal weapons to carry along. If they acquired new weapons during the mission, and if that weapon is considered acceptable to use by the UWP authorities, they will count as your own belongings."

"From my records, the infighting has began to slow down, with most of the violent groups that oppose the new ruler being destroyed. However, this information is a year old, so there might be further changes since.

Also a thing to note is that the organisation is run by a matriarchal monarchy system. Where the old Blood Queen is replaced by the present Red Queen."

Erjor goes to the bedroom and pulls out his basic sniper rifle from under his bed. He bought the new gun as the shops at the Galactic Orb does not sell the bullets for his previous one.

The captain grunts. "If that is all, then I'm turning off briefing mode." With a couple of button pushing, the screen with the face shuts off.
"Thank you fo- Zzt!" The AI said before disappearing.

As the new "day" arrives, and the crew and party are finishing up their breakfast, an alert sounded that indicates an unidentified fast approaching object.

"What the?! I thought we should arrive in a couple more hours..." The captain wondered. "Hey! Starline AI! What's going on out there?"

The AI answers through the intercoms. "I'm picking up what must be a space ship looking to make contact with us. The ship's design is not in my data base. But I'm 57% sure that it belongs to the Red Empire. What would you believe is the right course of action?"

The food kept on the spaceships is either packaged assortment of foods, or tasteless rations. Today, the crew member that distributed breakfast gave the latter.

"Affirmative. It also appears that the ship is sending us a message. Relaying message:

Oi, Mates! It's yer welcome party leader speaking! Welcome to the Red Empire! Let's get on in yer ship, and formally introduce ourselves, eh? Since we're gon be good friends and all!

Message end."

"Sending message to other ship of your request. As for me calming down, I can't as I'm a robot. It's my responsibility to perform my given duties or I might di- I mean deactivated."

"Message received. Relaying:

Just one? Come on, mate! Where's the trust? You know what, to show that we're ain't some pirate that shoots down all the crew and sell the ship for cash, I'll come on board with just 2 of my bodyguards! You might even be pirates. It's only fair...

It's looks like their ship is getting ready to connect to ours. I'm not sure if they are compatible to do so..."

"Yes sir. Would you want to turn the ship around and flee, or accelerate pass the other ship?"

Melima wakes up she goes to get her breakfast

Erjor says "do you guys know who is this woman?"

"Escaping now..." The ship quickly does a 180 and sped off in the direction it was coming from.

The captain speaks as he bites an e-cigarette in his mouth. "Just to let ya'll know, you guys still have to finish your mission. But it's not like I'll also get in trouble for disobedience, I'm just the captain in title..." He gets off his seat and pours himself a cup of nutrient water.

The AI speaks again. "Agent Kendral, it appears that the other ship is coming after us. I also received a message from it:

Hey! Bzzzkkktt Why are Kkkhhh-ing away from us?! This Zzzt offends the Red Empire! Disgus-Bkkkhhh scum!

Message end.
There appears to be lots of interference."

Yellow and red lights begin to flash past the windows of the ship.

"Agents, we are being attacked. I have raised the energy shield of the ship to the maximum. This will stay up for less than an hour. What course of action do you believe I should do?"

"The girl is one of the agents of this mission. Her name is Melima, she comes from the same planet as you. I know not much else.
My purpose is to serve and protect humans, so I recommend giving me suggested directions that will lead to the ship not being destroyed."

"all i want is some action so i won't give you directions"

Melima turns to Erjor

"what are you curious about me or do you want me to kill you"

"I disadvise killing each other. It will make my performance evaluation go down if there are causualties." says the AI.

After being shot at for half an hour as the ship attempts to flee at 80% of its max speed, the attacking ship begins to stop shooting and quickly turns around.

Suddenly, the entire ship begins to vibrate, and a new spaceship in a similar style to the previous ship can be seen suddenly appearing outside the windows.

The AI speaks again. "I have detected a new ship that have used its jump drive to teleport in front of us. It looks to be much bigger. What should I do?"

"Are you sure? This ship's guns are not very powerful, and that large ship looks more tougher. But alright, I'll do as you say." The sounds of soft humming grows as the AI readies to fire the plasma guns.

Your ship fires off a plasma shots towards the large ship.

"Plasma volley have penetrated target ship's armour. I have identified considerable damage upon it."

"Yes finally some action"

Your ship moves in closer towards the other ship. "Incoming message:

Hey! Whadd'a feck you guys are doin' to mah ship?! Ya know dat we're-

*Static noises*

Sorry about that... We're on edge after your sudden attack on us. I can understand, you were being attacked by pirates that unfortunately are aware of your arrival... Please cease your fire, and we will safely escort you to our city.
