Seeing as more pressing matters were at hand and she was clearly afraid for her life instead of attempting to murder them, Doc set aside his grudge for the moment and began helping with the barricade.

With the combined effort of three people, they managed to wedge two weapon racks against thr door, interspersed with a chest and the large table in the middle of the room. The shambling seemed to get closer, then altogether stopped.

Greta tells Ian "This is what I remember: it all started last winter in my village. I’m not sure if Bjarni, or Olga was the first, but in one night everyone was a skeleton or ran off. I also remember seeing something else, but I can’t remember what it was. Maybe I got hit on my head, I don’t know.
After I ran, every village was the same, those same black skeletons everywhere. I never saw a walking skeleton, but by the time I made it South, everyone last one of the Ingar clan was gone. All I can remember is just running for my life and seeing blackened skeletons all along the way. "
