Jauk sat on the sturdy table he and Toyachek had just moved and said, "Yeah well I am not sure I like the idea of potentially leaving folks stranded but I suppose I can come back later after getting you all to safety. I found mainly what I came her to find," he gestures at Toyacheck, "so I am good."
Jauk looks at Toyachek for a moment then says, "What the heck let's put another upside down on top, the extra weight could not hurt." With that said Jauk works with Toyachek to add another table atop the current table blocking the door.
Doc briefly catches the blur that was Greta plummeting to the ground and decides there is likely a better way to reach the Legate office. By the time he reached ground level he's met with Finn hurling into the air...right past Ian.
What took you so damn long?? he hisses, trying not to gather attention outside
"I got sleepy," Ian mutters and he slumps into the upper story. Sliding into the shadows he pulls off his mask with a grimace. He looks as though he hasn't slept for days, "Got'the door open ta the Legate's office but whatever's in there is causin' this . . . drainin' feelin'."
He grunts as he sits up, "Whatever's in there . .
it's important."
Doc grimaces. They've spent too much time here as it is; every minute longer adds risk. But if there's something important in that office and he appears to be immune to the effects of this drain... Sounds like I need to take a look. he sighs Which way do I go?
Zifu waited patiently while the others did their thing upstairs. "I am curious about that broken device, Mr. Revulde," she says. "May I ask what it is, and what happened to it?"
