I have some rope. Maybe we will have to join a few ropes. Who else has rope? I don't fancy a broken leg.

Sasha says she starts decending, If I need more, I will let you know.

After Sasha has cleared the shaft Cross jumps down, without holding the rope.
[ +- ] For those who observers the shaft
Hi Sasha, can't have you here all by your lonesome. More scorpions could be about. Cross gives Sasha a warm smile. This what Cross lives for.

Sasha doesn't have that trick. She comes to an end of the rope15' above the floor. If she drops, she'll need to make an Acrobatics check (DC 15) or take 1d6 falling damage.

Sasha comes squirrelling up the rope to the room, Funny thing. The rope is just a dozen feet short. Do we have any more. If not then we are need to get more. She thinks, Or we can tie on that old broken rope for a few more.

Climb check please, Sasha, mwa ha ha

Nevermind: DC 5 with a wall to brace against, so Sasha can't fail.
Oct 3, 2019 2:29 pm
I still have my rope if you want it Sasha.
Oct 3, 2019 2:33 pm
Great. Lets tie that on. You all can come down right after I hit bottom. I will give a good tug on the rope. You can feel her excitement as she wants to explore.

Climb checks for anyone with a Climb check modifier less than -5 (including armor check penalty) please.

Krazzik rigs a harness for Zaggra and lowers her down. Then he pulls up Cross's rope and ties in his own, giving plenty of lead to make it sturdy and secure and let's it reach the floor.
OOC:
No knots for Zaggra's rope harness. Krazzik has a +4 climb.

At the bottom
Mirrored images of a warrior in side profile, facing inward, are carved on an ornate pair of stone doors in the west wall of this square room. The figure is depicted wearing padded armor, with a scarab-shaped shield on the arm facing the viewer, and a raised khopesh held aloft in the other. A crumpled humanoid body lies directly in front of the doors. A hint of decay hangs in the air, and a dried stain mars the stone floor under the body. A square shaft in the ceiling leads straight up into darkness.

Avaline is by no means quick or particularly good at climbing down. She ties her walking stick tightly to her pack and slowly makes her way down. There are a few moments when it seems like she might slip or lose her grip, but she finally does make it down. Standing at the bottom, she looks up with an uneasy frown. "Not sure how I'm going to make it back up. Gods, please let there be another way out..." she murmurs.

I would be saving your energy. The only other way out of here doesn't take your body with it.

Cross examines the area around the body. There is all the signs of a trap here, so there should also be some way to disarm it

Rolls

Perception - (1d20+2)

(16) + 2 = 18

Knowledge (engineering) - (1d20+9)

(5) + 9 = 14

A quick check tells you what is obvious to Sasha. He is mostly skeletal and you need flesh to survive. You have time to take 20 while the others descend, so:

The body in front of the doors is mostly skeletal, with a thin layer of desiccated tissue. Sasha can identify the body as that of a male human or half-elf who obviously died down here. Both of the body’s legs are broken from a fall from a great height, and the unfortunate man apparently crawled to the doors before he expired.

OOC:
Any equipment or tools that as survived on the body to tell if he was possibly a worker or rogue thief?
Oct 3, 2019 6:40 pm
The corpse’s gear has suffered decades of rot and rust and is mostly unusable, though a thorough search yields a couple of metal pitons and a usable hammer, as well as two vials of alchemist’s fire that have remained miraculously unbroken.
