[Gameplay] Part 1: The Lottery & Tomb of Akhentepi

Bennekheb moves quietly forward, laying a hand on Sasha's shoulder, letting a golden warmth flood through her.

Sasha looks up to Bennekheb, Many thanks. We need find out how to get past that trap.

Sasha and Jabari know roughly where the trap occurred. You can spend 2 minutes to take 20 to find out precisely where the trigger is.

Note: you cannot take 20 on a disable device check as there are potential consequences for failure.

Being she knows about where the trap was. I can find it and in a couple minutes she has it located. She then proceeds to disable it.

In a tense moment, Sasha winces thinking she erred, but manages to mark the trigger and jam it so it won't activate.

That should do it. She says as she scuttles back to the party. Appears she wasn't willing to be the one to test her skills.

Not that I don't trust your skill Sasha, but can't we just step around the trigger?

Mindful of the triggers, cross scribbles some notes about Akhentepi and his scarab shield.

She says with confidence, Shouldn't matter one way or the other now. Lets get some strong hands on that stone door. Probably difficult like most.

Krazzik steps forward to get into a good position to move the stone door, waiting for anyone else who might help him with the immense weight.

The doors open easily.

A faded tapestry hangs on a wooden frame on the western wall of this chamber. Faded and delicate, the tapestry depicts a middle-aged man, accompanied by a woman and two children, with a small estate in the background. To either side of the tapestry are two small pedestals, upon which sit two dead and preserved animals. Stone double doors exit the chamber to the north, south, and east, east being the way you entered.

Stepping up next Krazzik to view the room, she says as she motions to the north and south, He does have a nice place here. Question is to go that way or this way?

Jabari was glad to see the door opened easily without his help as he was tending to his wounds. He removed each dart carefully but not without some degree of pain, although you wouldn't have seen any reaction on his face.

Avaline walks past Jabari as he pulls darts out. She puts a hand lightly on the big man's forearm. "Are you all right?" she asks, looking up at his face with a clinical eye. "I... can help, if you're in pain?" she offers, a little tentative.

Sasha calls back, He took a dart too. Painful for sure. Unlike me, I guess he is too proud to take assistance.

Jabari swallows his pride. I have a feeling that we all will need to be as close to full strength as possible if we are to succeed down here. I will take any assistance to get me back to fighting strength

Sasha smiles That's my boy. and turns her attention back to the hall. She cautiously takes her time to search for traps as she moves into the hall. She starts checking to the north first. She will put a light in the room as well.

Sasha spends about half an hour searching the room (it takes 2 minutes per square when taking 20) and finds no traps.

The animals on the pedestal are mummified cats, Akhentepi’s former pets. They were strangled and then mummified so they could accompany their owner to the Boneyard and his soul’s final destination.

Sasha spends forever it seems. Okay I can't find a trap anyplace. It should be safe. She looks over the mummified cats. Not a good day to be a pet.

Cross keeps a light above Sasha and once again tries to reveal any hidden magic.
