The Yaumatei Tin Hau Temple sounds right. It should have a neutral or uniform magical signature, so you can examen my aura. Basically check if the spirit has left something on my aura that it could track me with. My own is the only aura I will never see.

Missy pays for the coffee and calls a taxi ride

Argh my apologies I should've explained. Both of you were talking about cleansing, so I posted the Cleanse rules so that you can role play the parts you wanted from those rules, or help clarify what else needs to be done.

OOC:
But those are the Astral Signature cleansing guidelines -- I think Missy is talking about checking to make sure her current signature is not tainted by some attached tracking spell -- and remove it if it is kind of thing -- which I do not think would be the same thing -- yes/no??
As they waited for the taxi Helios nonchalantly but playfully said, "You know I was supposed to pay for that coffee." She knew he did not care that she had, nor would he have blinked an eye about being the one to have paid for it either. It was just a way of playfully saying thanks.

OOC:

If you're trying to see if a spell or magic effect is affecting a person, and what kind of spell it is, the action required is Assensing.
If you are trying to remove a sustained spell condition on a person (such as a tracking spell, which currently and assuredly doesn't exist in the 6e spell list), the action required is the Dispelling action under Counterspelling.
A third option is what I thought @runekyndig was concerned about. Missy cast spells earlier, and now she wants to remove traces of her spellcasting in case she is being tracked via her astral signature. That's the Cleanse action.
The Temple Street night market still saw activity at that time of night. Food and drink kiosks lined both sides of the criss-crossing lanes, which were themselves slicked with a perpetual damp. Out of the night also appeared various vendors of all kinds of goods and services, some legal, some less so. The taxi dropped both Helios and Missy at the main archway, from there they had to cut through the night market to reach Yau Ma Tei temple proper. A couple of meters past the street, and the bustling character of the market evaporated into an strange isolated calm. The temple itself was closed at that time of night, but the large square in front of it which they had just arrived at, and the entrance steps leading to the temple gate remained open, completely devoid of people, except maybe for a drunk lying against one of the outer walls. The temple itself was still largely untouched by modernity.

Spell casting Signature residual normally only last for 1 hour x Force Rating and I am pretty sure it does not move with you but remains wherever you cast that spell -- other than that if you do not cast a spell you do not leave behind any traces -- secondly I do not think you can like reach out and find that easily since again you have to be where the spell was cast to even sense it -- but I could be wrong -- lastly just because we do not have access to a spell does not mean the GM's NPCs do not have access to it ;)
Helios walked with Missy with his usual I am not here demeanor that he had become so accustomed to. At the bottom of the stairs he glanced up and asked, "Shall we do it by the front doors, or do you want to go inside?"

We don't want to disturb the atmosphere and energy in this place. Let's go around and see if the door to the garden is open. Else we just it on the stone bench over there.
Missy is taking in the energy and mentally separating "Missy" from "Clerice". "Clerice" was at the meeting with Janus, but it is going to be "Missy" that tracks him down.

OOC:
Spoken like a true GM XD. But yes, to elaborate: magic leaves a residue on the astral, an astral signature. (Magic fingerprints.) It's 1 hour x caster's Magic rating. The residue fades over time, but can also be cleansed. While signatures can be left at locations (a spell took place here), signatures can also be left on subjects (a spell took place on a person).

"Your call." Helios replies and follows Missy to see if the way to the garden is open.

Missy and Helios get to work. Helios does an Assensing and looks over Missy's astral signature. 5 minutes later missy should be clean, but they spent another 15 minutes going over her gear and belongings. It's quiet at the temple gardens and the energy in the place is peaceful. Missy leaves some hard currency at the stone bench where they worked. A gift for the garden as a thank you for using the garden for this cleansing purpose.
Before leaving Missy takes a quick peek at Helios'es aura, just to be sure that he did not pick up any residue from her.

Then she lets Helios order a cap to the harbor, but she pays it, with the last of her hard currency.
OOC:

Missy has 6 houres' worth of trace that she needs to disconnect her self from. I don't think any rolls are needed

The rules, page 160
Conscientious casters can clean up behind them through the Cleanse Major Action. When choosing this action, the player scrubs traces of a single spell or other magical effect from the astral plane. Each Cleanse action taken acts like an hour of time passing in terms of aura fading. Characters may take this action as many times as they want until the signature is entirely removed.

While the main door to the temple proper was closed, the garden on the temple grounds was still accessible up the steps. There were some stone tables and chairs which Helios and Missy settled down on. Both of them felt the calming aura of the temple; astrally they could sense a warm pinkish radiance emanating from its inner chambers, home to hundreds of years of meditation and spirituality.

Whatever the spirit did to Missy, leaving an astral signature on her was not one of them. No traces of magic, other than her own aura, could be detected, leaving her to conclude once again that she had been found because of her relationship with Shanto, who seemed to have found her inexplicably, and that she was additionally traced via the material link they shared, their ring.

Peeking at Helios aura revealed not just his own, but a number of smaller auras surrounding and connected to him as well.

It was almost the wee hours of the morning when they got their cab to Aberdeen Harbour. The harbour was a world-class business port, with its major facilities dedicated to container shipping and cargo. But the two of them weren't interested it the passenger port. Instead they headed to the fishery docks, which were busy at that time of the night, with fishing boats coming in with their catch, and the fish market warehouses coming alive with wholesalers there to get their choice picks.

Helios and Missy kept going past those, until they reached a row of smaller shacks by the edge of the water, with their respective boats docked by their sides. Helios could not understand any of the signs, but Missy made out the one with said Chan Family Fishery Private Limited. There some workers were busy unloading the catch of the night into big containers and barrels, while others were moving them into the warehouse for sorting and packing.

I'll give DeJoker a chance add to the temple scene before moving on

Sorry I thought your last post covered it fairly well -- and anything I could think about posting seemed mostly redundant.
Helios worked well with Missy but due to having spent much of his time in a more behind the scenes mode he just naturally fell into that. However if they encountered something he felt he needed to weigh in on Missy knew that he would do just that. Otherwise as before he always seemed comfortable with following her lead as well as letting her have that lead but she knew also that he was no puppy dog personality that was easily dominated due to how he dealt with animals he was just quite comfortable within his own skin as he had put it before in the past when Missy asked why he did not handle humanoids like he did animals. Besides she was much more adept at handling people, and it made no sense for him, or to him, to do something she was so much better at than he was. It is part the reason they both worked so well together, she handled the humanoids and he handled the animals.

Ok, then that wraps up the temple. I've moved the action to the docks already. You are at or nearing the fishery, depending on whether you want to prep anything beforehand, or go straight to talking to whomever is there.
Feb 12, 2020 12:29 pm
Missy is walking down the docks in her long black coat. In mandarin, she asks politely for direction to Mr and Mrs Chan's boat.
Feb 13, 2020 10:57 am
One of the dockhands replied in Cantonese, and waved towards the small office inside the warehouse shack. From the outside Helios and Missy could see somebody inside talking very animatedly.
Feb 13, 2020 9:32 pm
As Missy is speaking with the dock worker Helios takes a moment to take in the scenery in his customary fashion. Not understanding a single word either said, his eyes followed the person's gestures since that was either where they were going or where they were at least headed.
OOC:
Ooo here is a question how does one learn lip-reading in this version of the game? Or can I create a spell to do that ;)

OOC:
I'd ask for a Perception test to make out the lip movements, difficulty adjusted by distance, light, etc. But without knowledge of the language all you'll see are mouth shapes. :)
We house ruled a Translate spell, so two parties can communicate. But if you want to cast Translate on an unwilling or unaware target, I will probably make an opposed roll for the target.

Xièxiè, zhù nǐ yǒu měihǎo de yītiān (Thank you and have a good day)
We are going to that warehouse over there. As they get closer, Missy hears the loud discussion and listen. She wants to know if it is relevant for their visit.
Feb 15, 2020 2:35 pm
The sounds inside the office sounded like an argument conducted in rapid-fire Cantonese. A man and a woman had their voices raised, but the dockhands and workers busying themselves inside and outside the warehouse continued their work either as if they didn't hear anything or were used to it.
OOC:
Eavesdrop, or knock and go in? Eavesdrop requires Perception. Going in will require Influence, but later.
Feb 15, 2020 6:29 pm
Missy stops for a second but then decides to knock and walk-in.
Wǎnshàng hǎo (good evning) Mr and Mrs Chan?
