That's something that wasn't fleshed out, but saevikas' approach is probably the most reasonable. If you can take and hold their capital, they'll give in to whatever reasonable demands you have. If they view demands as unreasonble, you might have to occupy the whole house. Backing off a monopoly seems like a reasonable demand.

@Falconloft: I think I understand, but correct me if I'm wrong, still trying to learn. So I got 16 on my plotting roll which beats the 15 from your post. The bonus was +7, so the original roll was 9. Divided by 2 rounded down +1 = 5, which is rebellion. These are both NPC houses so there are no stats changes to worry about, but narratively, I think that means the marriage plans are off because those involved have fallen in love with Maa-Talians and are now rebelling against the arranged political marriage disrupting any chance of an alliance between Ala and Osberg. Let me know if that makes sense to you.

There's a lot of narrative freedom there, and that's on purpose, so yes, that seems fine to me. And then of course, the next events will have to do with the repercussions of that involvement...

Repercussions for what? Maa-Talia can't possiblity be responsible for young Alas and Osbergs falling in love with our bachelors and bachelorettes ... In fact, if anything we should be thanked for exporting some of our finest ... talent? ... 😉

If Osberg feels like they've been slighted, good thing they have a delegation from another house right there that offered to help them with all the wedding-related stuff ;)
