"If it's them we should focus on Waverly Willows, Shady Estates, and Primrose Pathways. Since they got busted for Meth expect extreme cautious people that will likely kill you for being a spy for the Lizard Overlords..." Max states inhaling in and recalling his last run in with them.
Mar 20, 2020 12:35 pm
"After I finish up with this paperwork I can drive around and take a look, as well. Split up or go together. What exactly am I looking for?"
Mar 20, 2020 1:20 pm
Red shrugs from the corner. "I can handle the paperwork. Where are you guys going to be?"
Mar 20, 2020 1:26 pm
"I say we stick together. If we're dealing with paranoid meth dealers, we don't want to be outnumbered. How about we check them in that order? Waverly, Shady, Primrose.

And Red, we'll let you know where we are. If we don't check in by tonight, can you get in touch with the Pantones? If shit goes south, it'll help to have a cavalry we can call."
Mar 20, 2020 1:54 pm
OOC:
Just reminding you of some other data you have... :)
"Got it. You guys have my cell number," Red says with a nod. "Max, where was the van registered to again? Was it one of those trailer parks?"

SavageBob sent a note to Remnant
Mar 20, 2020 2:48 pm
"Yes, Primrose actually. Here's the address." Max states flipping open his notepad and reviewing the notes.
Mar 20, 2020 4:37 pm
"Yeah, if the scene here was any indication, we'll need all four of us if things turn upside down! I hope you learned something on your trip, Guy."
Mar 20, 2020 9:38 pm
"Sounds like we got a game plan then. We head out to Primrose Pathways and hopefully the van will be there callin' out to us. Then we knock on the door and finally get some answers." Hank punches the palm of his hand.

"And if things look too rough from the outside, we could always call the Pantones in early."

OOC:
You have a couple of cars at your disposal, so I'll leave it to you if you took one or two vehicles out here.
[ +- ] Primrose Pathways
With Red keeping an eye on the One-Two, the four of you grab your wheels and head out into the Sticks. A mid-morning drizzle casts everything in shades of gray, but since it's after rush hour, and you're heading against the grain of traffic, it only takes about twenty minutes to find Primrose Pathways. The address the van is registered to lies at the end of a cul-de-sac. The house is a small single-wide trailer with white siding and a wheelchair ramp. The black van is nowhere in sight.

You find a place to park, but thunderclaps and the smell of wet suggest a downpour may be on its way. A stray dog is rummaging through a ripped-open black trash bag a few yards away, and someone is playing Warrant's Greatest Hits in the distance. The neighborhood is otherwise quiet.
Mar 21, 2020 2:16 am
Marv raises an eyebrow, "Ready for a little warrantless searchin' friends? I heard there was terrorists in that there trailer so I think the patriot act applies." He shoots a conspiratorial grin Hank's way and waggle the raised eyebrow up and down.
Mar 21, 2020 4:19 am
"I should've put tarps over those broken skylights before I left," Guy mutters to himself.
He turns to the others, "Hey, if you are the cops, as a law-abiding citizen, who am I to refuse orders?" he grins.
Mar 21, 2020 10:51 am
Marv smirks, "More cop adjacent, I'd say." Marv pulls is PI license and flashes it real quick, "Young Max here is actually on the force though." Marv waits for the official response, hoping it'll be to turn a blind eye.
Mar 21, 2020 2:39 pm
Hank smirks back at Marv. "Well, we may not have a paper warrant, but I'll take what I can get."

"Boy, this song takes me back. I used to listen to this back in the day, my dad busted my balls about it. Called it the 'yowling of lowlifes and criminals.' Bet he's rolling over in his grave to see that yowling still going strong while I look for a fight in the Sticks."
His smile fades and his gaze drifts into the middle distance. "But hey. Things change. The old son of a bitch knew that better than anybody."

He pauses for a moment, then shakes his head and glances back at them sheepishly. "Anyway. We're here for some intel. Not a Lifetime movie."

He gets out of the car and looks at the trailer. "Since the van ain't here, just as likely registered to some poor clueless granny as our mastermind. What say we start out civil and knock?"
Mar 21, 2020 2:42 pm
"Such manners!"
OOC:
Just banter, I'll wait for Max to weigh in.
Mar 21, 2020 3:57 pm
The music in the distance shifts from "Heaven" to "Cherry Pie." The breeze picks up, stirring up dust on the dirt road.
OOC:
Knocking sounds sensible. I'll move that plot line forward unless Max has other plans.
Mar 21, 2020 6:25 pm
You approach the mobile home and note that the mailbox is labeled "CLINE/CROWDER." A knock on the door causes some shuffling inside and opens the door a crack. A woman's brown eyes squint at you through the gap as your nostrils are hit by cigarette smoke. The woman regards you for a moment, then says, "Who the hell are you?"
OOC:
You're welcome to try a social check on this woman to get her to talk. Remember that I interpret Leadership as the go-to skill for "We're with the law, you're compelled to speak to us" if you go that route. All checks will be Average (PP) with two setbacks for stranger danger (unless someone has Knack for It).

Flashing a private-eye license or police badge is worth a boost on Leadership. Max's body armor is worth a setback on Charm. I may add more setbacks or boosts depending on your approach (after you roll).
Mar 21, 2020 11:00 pm
"Texted Red about the sky lights. Patriot Act is a big lean Sir, maybe indirectly off the Violent Crime legislation. I'll leave the talking to one of you, no head trauma please." Max states before the door opens and he shuts up.

is she Cline or Crowder... Max thinks looking around while some else does the talking...
Mar 23, 2020 2:19 am
"Sorry for the interruption, ma'am," Guy smiles. "There was a slight fender bender we had with a black van earlier this morning, but the van drove off. We got the license plate and the van is registered to this address. Nothing major, we are insured, just wanted to exchange insurance information so nobody gets screwed over by those bloodsucking insurance companies, am I right, Ms...?"
OOC:
GM edit: 2 more setbacks (stranger danger, body armor while talking to a civilian)
OOC:
Further GM edit: 2 more boosts from assistance in the next couple posts.
