"Well, there doesn't appear to be anyone in there, we may as well go on to the viper room." :)
Turning to Kon, Duke asks, "Do you plan to wake the dead that way?"
I push the door open and walk on in, axe raised defensively.

In response to the magical light that now enters the room, braziers of orange fire on either side of the dais flare a fiery ambiance to the room.
The skeleton that Caine is speaking about is in the middle of the room. To the sides are four niches and coffins. These are nothing compared to the coffin to the north surrounded by huge piles of cursed gold. The magical light reflects off the precious metal and shines little stars of lights over the whole room in which faint native disco music may be heard. On the steps up to this coffin, the stones are charred and burnt in defiance of any that approach the coffin, or escape from it.
Above the coffin is a massive protective statue of the Fire Gold, Tezcatlipoca. The Mazticans easily recognize him by his colorful talisman, a disc worn as a chest pectoral. This talisman is carved out of abalone shell. Tezca is associated with a wide range of concepts, including the night sky, the night winds, hurricanes, the north, the earth, obsidian, enmity, discord, rulership, divination, temptation, jaguars, sorcery, beauty, war, and strife. His name in the Nahuatl language is often translated as "Smoking Mirror" and alludes to his connection to obsidian, the material from which mirrors were made in Maztica and which were used for shamanic rituals and prophecy.
Depicted in beautifully carved stone, the god is painted with a black and a yellow stripe painted across his face. His right foot on the top step in front of the coffin is replaced with an obsidian mirror —an allusion to the creation myth in which he loses his foot battling with the Earth Monster. Smoke emanates from the mirror.
