"Interesting questions, and unexpected. I like that. In way of answers, I'll play. Let's see, rules and I have proven to be incomparable on most occasions, of course the same could be said for commitment. I have to say that fairness and life tend to be two words that rarely if ever find themselves to be compatible. Still, I'm intrigued, please say more."
She stares at you, not understanding a word you just said.
"I don’t like gods and stuff telling us what to do. "
"Nah, me either," stuffing a pastry in my mouth.

Kit laughs, "You weren’t keen on a god telling you what to do until recently either," she playfully jabs Dukalu in the ribs.

She stretches her arms happy to have eaten a good meal. "Well, we best sail the seas before tide is gone. Is everyone ready?"

"Poca tell us that our cargo is all sold. We have packed with provisions and will be riding high. We’ll be able to stay trim the whole way. Antethoe and Jacob are welcome to have their old bunks. "

"Mountain Storm, you have your sea legs? I did notice those strong webbed fingers your have. You want to be in the boat or swim along side?"
Aug 20, 2020 9:15 pm
"Oh, have we decided upon a destination? I heard a few tossed out."
Aug 20, 2020 9:19 pm
"Ah, Prettyboy, I have not sailed the seas before. Perhaps I will try that first, before I resort to swimming. Though I do wonder if you have some netting I could use as a hammock somewhere out of the way abovedeck, your cabins are unlikely to fit a man of my stature.

"As for your question, Seafox, where do we sail? I have yet to have my question answered as to where Axe-pint found that egg. It was burst before I got there, so I know not whether the egg and seed were one and the same. I saw the seed on the shore of the ocean, resting in a bed of seaweed. Farwalker told me it was on an isle just off the coast of Kulan, but that you could walk to this isle at low tide, though I don't know how that could be. Does that sound familiar to you, little Axe-pint?"

"Cabin’s? Look whose gotten all soft and low land on ye. You’ll be swinging in the bunk room with all the rest except for the ladies and I. Welcome lads to the sea! It looks a pretty sight fine that we leave now. The sea has other ideas than staying calm. Watch!! The sails try to break a squall. Pull in the jib and let er down quick!!" The rope runner scowl the organically netted masts. The masts creek and the guests are hurried aboard while it is dry. The harbor master swings his light before darkness falls early in the day. Lend a hand! Canoe are dragged aboard. Who of the party has not embarked yet and why?

"Captain Kitsune has set course north toward Seed of Nula, two day hence. I be wind mage and master o ship. Mind your manners or have no grog. Now check I you for lice. Who first? "

"You Kitsune are my star to guide by, my goddess to brighten my days. You alone amongst gods may determine my fate! Lead us on!" He kisses the Half Elf beauty’s hand with a dramatic bow of subjugation.

"Aye, I'm aboard, though I still wonder if we're wasting our time. I hope we aren't." I say, strolling on board, handing my pack to Duke. "Prettyboy, since you seem to be the master of services aboard, please deliver my stuff to the bunks. If you can do it without breaking anything, there'll be a pretty copper for you in it!

"Windpainter, you may check me for lice, but I doubt you'll find any - I don't have much hair. As for my sugar gliders, if you think fey would suffer the indignity of lice, I might begin to doubt you grasp on reality."

OOC:
Speaking aside to Jacob Vane, casting his voice low and quiet...
"Bluebard, you seem keen of mind and observation. Am I the only one who sees such excessive displays and thinks, perhaps the Prettyboy is mesmerized of a magical nature?"

I'm still trying to figure out if Kon's girl was duped or in league with the vamps, if his egg and your seed are one in the same, and who is in and who is out and if the best course would be to sale to Nana or investigate why the gods are protecting the cites. Oh, and how the hell did we end up on this ship? I thought we were in the cabin. That tea was a bitch!

Dukalu comes up to you, extends his forearm to you, grasps your elbow and holds as you grasp his elbow with your hand, in the manner that Huatzi greeted Kon at first. "Glad to have your honorable self aboard as a brother in arms!" He releases the salute and steps over your possessions lain on the deck at your feet and goes down below.

Kit laughs as Dukalu displays his affection. She caresses his cheek before sending him to greet our guests. Seeing him step over Stormslayer’s things, she shakes her head and walks over. "We tend to handle our own possessions on the ship, but I’ll store them for you. That tea was strong! I don’t remember leaving the cabin!"

"Oh thank goodness. I thought I was the only one who lost that bit of time. I knew the tea was something, so I laid off it during lunch... maybe something was in the food? Everything is moving so fast, and yet so slow at the same time."

"A goddess, no matter how mortal, should not have to be concerned with such things, Seafox. I will handle them. Perhaps they were too heavy a burden to ask of your Pretty." I take the pack and start to follow Prettyboy, then hesitate... "Perchance there is space on the deck I might occupy? I made the mistake of calling the bunkroom a cabin, and was told I would need to rest there with everyone else. I worry that I might exceed the length of your bunks, and the height of that doorway does not bode well for my neck to remain unkinked..."

The storm is getting worse but the tide will not wait. Kon’s horse has been ferried from the caravan and needs to be loaded. Any ideas?
Aug 21, 2020 12:21 am
I will assume that Kon and Antethoe are joining us as soon as Antethoe can do her last minute shopping. A large package arrives for Dukalu and is block and tackled onto the deck and lifted into the cabin. All hatched are battened.

Storm is still trying to find a spot outside to string his hammock as the rain starts. The ship is pushed off with all aboard and the sails fill Poca is doing more calming of winds instead of conjuring. And off the Skulker leaves Baya harbor for the north. Those new to the sea are not going to have an easy time with this. Captain orders the crew to coordinate efforts as they track faster in front of a squall. Lighting and thunder portells a stormy beginning of this party of heros. The high watch, that brave brave high watch catches sight of creatures in the waves ahead.

"What's this? Axe-pint's horse is here, but I've not seen hide nor hair of the dwarf himself? I guess that means he plans to join us, but I hope he does so before that storm hits. Speaking of storms... I think I will go ahead and take my risks below. One of you should be able to handle the horse, right? There's enough magic between you all to do something about it." As promised, I contort my body in such a fashion as to allow me to pass through the short and narrow door, perilously avoiding a fall down the narrow steps that lead belowdeck.
OOC:
just refreshed, I was typing this prior to the narrative that I was still about looking for a place to hang a hammock... unfortunately, Lyrical one, I've gone below... there be a storm acomin'
