Just a quick warning, I don't receive emails from this site. I don't know why I'm subscribed and everything to everything so the only way I know a post has been made is to actually come here and look at the site. Having said that I'm neurotic about missing something so I check a lot...

I've never heard of anyone getting e:mails from this site. I've never received any. But then, I check the site two or three times a day simply because I have the time. Perhaps, you don't have so much time, Ember.

You can subscribe go threads which "should" send out alerts. Even when signing up to the site I had to talk to the mod’s directly because the site wouldn’t / couldn’t sent me emails to verify my ID.

It’s like there’s a black hole between the server and me that only eats email. Although isn’t everything falling into a black hole little more than a stream of electrons falling through the event horizon and disappearing from our universe forever?

Yeah there is the possibility to get email notifications but many email providers recognize them as spam as far as I know.

That Funds chart is a bit confusing. Let's disregard the business skill for this discussion. So you're only looking at Perception and Knowledge to determine your Funds bonus. If you have given 4d to either one it seems you can add +1d to your Funds total but if you have only 1d in either you have to subtract 1d. What do you get or give up if you have 2d or 3d in either ability? I hate making assumptions.

I think 2 or 3d is ignored and you just start with base cash... that's how I read it.

If you have only 1D in Perception you get 1D less funds. Same for knowledge.
So if you have a very oblivious character she has less money.
If you have more than 4D in Perception you get +1D in your funds. Same for knowledge again.
If you have 2D or 3D in those attributes you stay the same.

So a character with 2D in Perception and 4D in knowledge gets 4D funds in total.
A character with 5D in Perception but only 1D in knowledge gets +1D from the high perception and -1D from knowledge so it stays at 3D Funds

Thanks for the explanation. There are certain leaps I can no longer make due to age and weight. That was one of them. The way I see things if something is not explained explicitly, you have to make a leap.

Hey guys. I'd say i'm back, but I was never really here. Anyways, i'm not on fire anymore, so if you guys still want me, I'd be happy to play a curious/surly robot.

I'm going to start reading the story, but a quick summary would be helpful.

We avoided a bar fight with a bunch of thugs by convincing them it was a no win situation. Got hired by a greasy guy to bring a satellite to a world they lost coms with.

Loaner ship is a wreck, satellite is stolen and filled with military parts. Ship has very non-OEM sensor package.

I'm caught up. Would it be weird if on this junk ship you guys had there was a random robot with no memory of how he got there?

You mean the sexbot in the ships locker? Lol...

Welcome back. Glad to hear that your situation has improved
Hehehe... Unfortunately the locker room has already been checked for bots of any profession.
But the aft airlock wasn't checked. So either your character just exits from there or someone finds you.
Maybe your character has attached itself to the outside of the ship and you could also wait until the ship is in flight and then bump against the door of the airlock from the outside for a little shocking moment. The ship should take off soon.
