From torpedo tubes in its pylons, the weapons platform unleashes two torpedoes that cruise toward Panghol.
OOC:
@Panghol, these torpedoes move one range band per round. They will reach you the next round. If the kaiju get the initiative next round, then you’ll be able to take an action before they strike.
Oct 7, 2020 4:08 am
OOC:
That does it for Round 2. Now for Round 3. Players may draw action cards agin for initiative. As usual, the player group will use the highest card drawn by a PC.

How many more rounds for P and O to get there?

OOC:
You will reach the weapons platform next round, and the Dauntless on the round after that.

Omukade makes for the weapons platform, her fury building.
Oct 7, 2020 4:20 pm
Panghol sees the great Worm giant swimming beside him, heading furiously towards the platform. Up ahead, the many-tentacled ally is strangling one of the humans' weapons.

He senses a change in the water pressure around him, and with his Infravision sees two silver metal fishes piercing the waters fast in his direction. These are human attacks, he's felt their sting before. He knows he has to avoid their bite. He looks at the sandy seabed below him, and dives deeper to burrow into it, while still advancing in the direction of the platform, although slowed down by the burrowing.
OOC:
I want to try avoid the torpedoes by tunnelling underneath the seabed below them, to re-emerge past them. If anything, the disturbed sand layers might provide some cover from the explosion.
Using the Burrowing power, but unsure what roll is appropriate here.

OOC:
Give me a roll to Evade (Agility at -2). Normally its a -4 in the water (since you aren't an aquatic creature), but the ground will provide you some cover.

OOC:
I did think of my paralyzing attack as electrical charge, yes (hence, resistance to electricity in my traits), but it was mostly for flavor. I suppose as long as crushing MASER doesn't count as attacking humans, I shall do this.
(Come on, give me 5- card, random! :D)

With an apologetic look towards the ship, Straj tightens his hold on the round dish, wrapping his limbs around the place where it is attached to the foundation. His tentacles taut with tension, the squid attempts to tear it, to disconnect the dish and make it impossible to control - even though he doesn't exactly know how humans do that. But without attachment to the platform, it probably wouldn't be able to right itself if Straj drops it...

His eyes dart towards the water surface stretching towards Monster Island, watching graceful form of Omukade and intimidating figure of Panghol make their way towards the platforms, and Straj chirps in anxiety at the sight of blurry silhouettes of torpedoes moving underwater. He turns his head - twists around his own limbs, - towards the human ship. Weapon platforms are one thing, but the ship? He feels that he needs to do something about it before other kaiju reach it - other than the pterodactyl, that is, who is already screeching at the humans from above.
OOC:
If I succeed enough to destroy or somehow incapacitate the dis, I'd like to then move towards Dauntless.
Otherwise, just continuing to grapple the dish.

Also, I don't think Taclydus acted last turn. Does that me he is still flying around the ship?

Straj's tentacles crush and tear the parabolic dish off of the platform. The weapon groans as metal rends, and sparks fly as power cables are ripped apart. Overall, it doesn't take much effort. With that, the giant cephalopod makes his way to the Dauntless.
OOC:
@Straj,

Yes, Taclydus hasn't acted yet. At the moment, he is hovering just above the ship and keeping it distracted. Once he's taken his action, I'll describe the response of the torpedoes.
Oct 8, 2020 11:11 pm
Taclydus continues his attacks on the missle system. Clawing at it frantically while hovering above
OOC:

edit: ouch...almost critically failed there haha
